I haven't measured this with proper equipment, but plugged into an common Apple 1 amp phone charger the performance seems identical to Nintendo's official AC adapter. Build quality seems fine and the little velcro loop is handy. Nice to be able to charge from laptops, power banks, cars, etc and not have to carry an extra wall plug around, and a third of the price of the AC adapter, so you can't go wrong.

Ordered 3 of these cables, hoping to use them with a portable battery bank for our Nintendo DS units, as opposed to being tethered to a wall outlet. Already, one cable has outright failed, with the protective cable sheathing on another already exposing the internal wires on both the USB connector and DS plug ends of the cable. While they worked as advertised, meaning they charged while using the DS, the extremely flimsy and thin nature of the cables led to very short lifetimes. Do not by this product, as it's quality is terrible. Instead, just flush your cash straight down the toilet.
