Immoral Confessions: A Dark Enemies to Lovers Romance (Boys of St. Augustine Book 1) Kindle Edition
It started when I stole a secret I was never meant to keep. Then, “I dare you,” was whispered in the dark of night.
Three simple words that changed everything.
I became the one thing that Rhys Blackwood hated more than he hated himself.
St. Augustine’s very own fallen angel had me in his hold and he wasn’t giving up until I was ruined.
I was a snitch. A liar. A pawn.
He was cruel. Merciless. The King.
Together, we were fated for destruction.
And where there are secrets and untruths… there are demons lurking beyond the shadows.
Immoral Confessions is a dark high school bully romance set at a Catholic boarding school. It is approximately 72,000 words, full length novel. While the couple's story IS complete, there IS a cliffhanger for the series that will continue on into BOOK 2, TARNISHED VOW. There are dubious scenes inside that some may find triggering. Please heed this warning and read responsibly.

All jokes aside, this book was absolutely incredible. This my second book by this author and can I just start off with saying she gets more better with each book release she puts out into the world.
Even the title Immoral Confessions, rang alarms in my brain, the good alarms not the bad. That was soon followed by the blurb and the cover and I was done. Completely done. These three things, were like tick, tick, tick in my book.
Then finding out it a dark, bully catholic boarding school with some wicked and sinful men. I was like can this get any better. Well it did, when the ARC landed on my kindle and I read the book.
Are you ready to confess your sins?
This book was about the almighty broken hero, who has built walls upon walls until one day at the wrong time he stumbles across our heroine. Our heroine was the definition of an wall flower, she didn’t like being centre of attention, she preferred to be hidden but boy did she get pulled out of that shell real quick.
So this is where our enemies to lovers journey begins and to say it begins is an understatement of the century.
This book absolutely gave me everything that I love in my books, it had your dark dub-con bully romance, that soon morphed into so much more, turning into a true love story.
Looking back on this book, these two were inevitable, they were bound to happen. Quite frankly, they just connect and are very similar in certain aspects. It may not seem like it to you the reader when you first begin this book but once you get to the end you’ll soon understand my comment on that.
The moments, the stolen touches that these two share are memorable. Their chemistry is intense and it just bleeds off the pages and sinks into you’re body. I devoured their story in one sitting, that’s how insane this book was. Whenever these two are in the same proximity, it’s on. The sexy scenes between them is spicy, saucy, and hot as hell. They aren’t just your ordinary sexy seems they are forbidden and simply amazing. Let me just say something, ahem confession booth.
That’s all I’m gonna say, I’m wiping my hands and leaving it to you to find out what I meant by that. I just really love these characters and I was sad to see them go but rest assured there is more coming. Like hello, we need the other boys books like yesterday.
Once you get to know these characters and embark on their journey. You become invested in their world until there is no going back. I certainly can’t wait to see what this author has up her sleeve for Sebastian.
Throughout the story it seems as though Rhys’s job is to destroy Val and he does some pretty heinous things to her. I enjoyed the duel POV’s that went with this story so that we could get into the psyche of both Rhys and Val, which actually helped to redeem Rhys and his treatment of Val. Val was an exceptionally strong character and we see her growth throughout the whole book and how her influence helps Rhys to grow. The side story between Val and her stepmother was also interesting and heart-breaking and gave a whole new level to Val’s maturity and vulnerability.
The scenes between Val and Rhys are also scorching hot. He certainly does like to torture her (in the best way). There were some phenomenal scenes between the two which were spicy, sexy and well written.
This book is just full of chemistry, steamy scenes and twist and turns which really added to the overall feel of the book and it looks like it is going to be a really great bully/dark read series.
This book was jam packed with enemies to lovers, sexiness alongside the mysteries and secrets carefully woven through. I must say R. Holmes does an excellent job of leaving you wanting more after this book.
Rhys and Valentina’s relationship was soul crushing from beginning to end. Although Rhys loved to torment her, there’s still that spot in your heart that loves him. And Valentina, she was just an amazing heroine. She might have been too scared to stand up for her self in the beginning but as the book progresses you see how strong of a woman she grows to be.
R. Holmes writing is captivating from the very first page to the last. I loved the way you wanted to hate the boys of St. Augustine and hate them all at once. Although I must say I’m a little stuck on which boy I love most, they’re all so intriguing. I’m very excited for the next books in this series as the secrets and mysteries continue...
