Product description

Product Description

A family has been massacred in their home, a display of violence both brutal and bizarre. The details prove curious -- not only are the bodies savaged way beyond anything found at a normal murder scene, every mirror in the house has been shattered.

The spectacle shocks a peaceful island community, and when local police turn to the FBI for assistance, Agent Violet Darger finds herself working another harrowing crime scene. She stares, once more, into the abyss, and mankind's warped reflection stares back.

This tasty little Novella in the new Violet Darger Series is just what the doctor ordered after Dead End Girl. Nice and easy to consume, Tim and LT give us a nice little palette cleanse and give us a little taste of what is to come.

We join Violet and her new mentor/partner as they are called into another sleepy little town to solve the murder of an entire family. With a nice little list of suspects and an ill-equipped police force, once more they enter the fray to put those profiling skills to good use.

All in all, a great little story that takes no time at all to get through that leaves you satisfied but hungry for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars unsettling, suspenseful, and eerie 9 June 2017

In this bite-sized episode of the Violet Darger series, Darger and Loshak are in an idyllic island town where nothing bad could ever happen, investigating every family's nightmare.

Image in a Cracked Mirror is viscerally unsettling, suspenseful, and eerie, and you can read the whole thing over your lunch break or just before bed. Of course, if you do read it over lunch, avoid the mac & cheese. And if you read before bed, be prepared to lock all your doors and board up the windows when you're done. Neither you nor Darger are getting out of this case undisturbed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just enough to appease my need for more! 10 June 2017

It's just like an episode of a crime show! The crime is horrific, and our FBI agents are once again helping a small town with little experience solve the case. It's fascinating! I loved it. I hadn't realized I how much I missed these two characters.

This is another short but creepy effort from L.T. Vargus and Tim McBain, and it continues the story of FBI agent Violet Darger.

At least for me, this story seemed extra-creepy. I don't want to reveal spoilers, but it seemed disturbingly authentic.

It's well-written and tense, and left me waiting eagerly for the next release in the series!
4.0 out of 5 stars "I needed more blood or I'll die." 9 June 2017

Violet Drager is back with Loshak in a wonderfully gruesome novella that will have you guessing who did it. Based on a real murder, this story will have feeling like you are there with Violet as she solves this new case. From first reviewing the stomach turning photos, touring the heartbreaking murder scene then interviewing the suspects. The confession of the killer of why he did the murder is the most horrifying part of the the book for me. " I needed more blood or I'll die. " This story will keep you turning pages until you are shocked to find it's over way too soon.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent story!! 13 June 2017

I received the story for an honest review, but it was so good that I would do it any way. I love the storyline and the characters, because it kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. That's the type of story I look for in books. Please read for yourself and leave a review. Reviews are good for both the authors as well as prospective readers. ☺
