Product Description

The crime wasn’t in what Trevor Grant had done. It lay in what was done to him. Now, years after he lost his family, he faces life in prison for his part in removing the guilty. In Hannah Parker’s mind, she has two strikes against her: she has too much money and too many brains. In her experience where one of these might blacklist you, the two together was a life sentence.
When the chance comes to see the boys on trial, their cause becomes her cause. With the silent resources behind her, she will work the system, securing the release of the men she believes innocent of conscience, if not the crime.
Strangers coming from different backgrounds, Trevor with Gavin, will join Hannah. She will become part of their everyday living—holding Trevor close—even as they keep an escape plan in place in case anyone ever looks twice and asks “do you live around here?”

5.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes getting revenge is warranted 15 June 2016

Trevor and Gavin had been put on trial, found guilty and sent to prison for life with no possibility of parole. Hannah Parker didn't believe they were guilty so she uses her money to get them out. After years in prison, both Gavin and Trevor are taken out and loaded into a van. They aren't told what's happening or where they are going. That's when the real fun begins.

Hannah was really surprising. Not only was she rich but she was really smart too and she knew exactly what to do with all her brains. When she went after something, she really had all her bases covered in case the other players got any ideas. Like when she bribed the guards to bring her Gavin and Trevor. Even if the guards had tried to get out of their deal, there was no way for them to do it without serious consequences. Hannah had some serious computer smarts and that really came in handy.

Hannah might have money, brains and a nice house but she's lonely and doesn't let many people in because when you have as much money as she does, you never know what someone's motives are for trying to hang out with you.

There was a good reason the 2 men had gone to prison, they did what they thought they had to when the legal system let them down. They committed a crime but for the right reasons and they got a raw deal because of it. Do I believe in vigilante justice? I do in this instance. I think a lot of people would.

Trevor isn't sure whether he wants more of a relationship with Hannah but he can't deny that he's attracted to her or the fact that she really likes him. He tries to keep his distance, he really does but he warms up to her and their relationship gets hotter.

I really liked how this story started, why she helped them and how it ended. Trevor and Gavin are nice guys and given what they did, it's nice to see that someone saw that. I highly recommend this book.

Disclosure: I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Story With A Difference 13 June 2016
By Mrs. Helen Sibbritt - Published on
How would you feel if you had been so badly done by? This is a story about cousins Trevor and Gavin they were raised as brothers in a big household with a loving family they worked hard to support their mothers and their siblings but when they come home from night shift one night and find that they have lost everything and that it had been a mistake the wrong house. Then to make matters worse the murderers actually get off there is only one thing left to do get justice for their family.

They are sent to prison and separated they take their punishment and do what must be done but there is someone who has taken a lot of interest in their case and that is wealthy strong and caring Hannah Parker and when honest channels cannot get the truth out Hannah does the only thing she can do a gets them out albeit to a life of moving and staying under the radar but they are living again and Trevor and Hannah get closer through tough times but the love that grows is beautiful and Gavin also finds his mate.

This is a story that pulled me in from page one and kept me turning the pages I am sure that there are many people in this world that are locked up that perhaps shouldn't be and to see a lady in shinning armour arrive to rescue these two worthy heroes was a joy to read. I highly recommend this story for something good and a little different.
5.0 out of 5 stars Jacqui Jocoby nailed it again, A suspenseful story of 2 guys who should not be locked up and the woman who got them out. 27 June 2016

Illegal Exit by Jacqui Jacoby
I am never disappointed by a book by Jacqui Jacoby. They are interesting, suspenseful and the kind you can’t put down.
This story is about Hannah Parker who attended the trial of Trevor Grant. The crime was not so much what Trevor did but what was done to him. He lost his entire family now and faces life in prison. Gavin is Trevon’s cousin and they had not seen each other in a long time. Hannah has the money and the brains and knows how to do things. So secured the release of both men she actually believed were innocent. Between the three they went together living the everyday life. The boys tinkered on cars in garage and Hannah was able to supply them with the car, tools and parts. They had a way to escape if they ever got too close to being found out about.
Since I love shows like Cops and the stories about criminals this was right up my alley. There is even real closeness between Trevor and Hannah. This shows that some that are locked up really should never be. Hoping you enjoy this as much as I did.
4.0 out of 5 stars Thinking they had no way out they hadn't even figured on someone like Hannah determined to help them 15 June 2016

Trevor and Gavin have had a tough break. They were found guilty and sent to prison for a crime but one that they committed for the right reasons. It just went wrong and they were given a term with no possibility of parole. Thinking they had no way out they hadn't even figured on someone like Hannah determined to help them. She is a truly intelligent girl with real computer savvy and the money to back up her plans. She uses all she has to help them even bribing the guards which isn't hard with all the money and she will not give them the opportunity to back out. This story takes you on an interesting journey where even Trevor and Gavin have no idea what is going on all they know is they are loaded in a van . Ms. Jacoby takes you in this ride and you will enjoy it from the beginning and cheer for them at the end. Of course its warmed up by the feelings Trevor gets for Hannah. A book that you will truly enjoy .
