I initially thought a custom-made coax stripper was gimmicky, but this is just as easy to use as everyone says, and trying to prep the cable correctly with a knife is a huge pain. Even if you're only doing one cable, it's worth the $10 to be sure it's all right, not prick your finger on bits of wire, and not dull your knife on the braid.
I used this on quad shielded cable with PPC EX6PLUS connectors, and it worked very well. I did have to do a second pass to get the outer foil. The tool got the outer insulation and braid, I pulled off the pieces, and then I ran the tool around it again to cut the foil, leaving the inner braid to fold back.
