I really enjoyed this book! First it was well written with no grammatical or proofreading errors that I spotted. Storyline was natural flowing and very realistic. I loved Penelope, great sense of humour and not a doormat. Ryker was really lovely too. All in all a well written college/football romance.

I really enjoyed this read. I got about halfway through when I realised there must have been a book before it, but it wasn't needed to be able to read this one.
I really enjoyed the way Penelope and Ryker interacted with each other, and I loved the other characters, too, except for Archer.
Now that I know there is a book one, I am going to dive into that one

Plenty of smexy moments and enough twists to keep me wanting more from this world.

It's been a little while since I read I Dare You, so I was keen to get back into this world again with I Bet You. It was fun getting to know Penelope an Ryker, even though they were from different worlds. Ryker was focused on football and really didn't have time for distractions because there was a lot of pressure on his team, but he wanted Penelope. Penelope really despised football jocks, and had her eyes set on the ideal boyfriend.
Penelope was a confident, sweet and smart girl, who worked hard in college. She didn't take any crap from the football boys, and I liked how she put them in their place! She was focused on college and loved to write, and one of her pieces is what thrust her into Ryker's world.
Ryker was the captain of the football team, he was sexy and a little arrogant, but he was fun and flirty too. I think that's what made him attractive to Penelope. I liked that he challenged Penelope and pursued her despite how hard she tried to keep him away.
Ilsa Madden-Mills seems to keep me hooked when I open one of her reads. She creates characters that I want to know more about and I enjoy the banter between them. This read had plenty of smexy moments and enough twists to keep me wanting more from this world.

I am starting to shy away a little from college aged romances - nothing against the books, it is just that I am an old fart and it is a bit pervy lusting after 21 year old boys lol
Also, I know nothing about American football - other than it takes about 42 hours to play a game!
However, there are some authors that I will pick up no matter the age of the characters, and Ilsa Madden-Mills is one of them.
I enjoyed I Dare You, so I knew I was going to enjoy I Bet You - and I sure did.
Being called I Bet You, you kind of know where the story is going to go. It is kind of that move She's All That, with a writer instead of a painter.
Ryker and Penelope's story is all kinds of sweet and adorable. We know early on in the book that it starts with a bet, and we all know what is going to happen when she finds out it is a bet, however it is how they manage things once it all comes out that I liked. I loved that they talked, they acted like adults and sorted crap out.
I am a huge fan of "Vampire Bill" - you will love him when you meet him.
One thing I have to ask Ms Madden-Mills thought - what is Archer's childhood trauma? Ugh, he is so, so unlikable, and I couldn't help but cheer when we got to him at the end of the book.
I can't wait for more of these guys to get their story.

I really really enjoyed this book, I think I even loved it more than I Dare You.
We meet our heroine Penelope who is a quirky nerdy girl who loves all things romance novels and Twilight. Then we have our Hero Ryker the Quarterback and Captain of the football team.
I loved these two so much together. Ryker was the sweetest guy and I absolutely fell in love with him he was the typical jock playboy type but as soon he set his sights on Penelope everything changed it was cute how he didn't know how to act around her. Penelope was such a sassy, feisty lady who didn't care about Rykers popular status and didn't take his crap.
These two's fun banter was so entertaining and I definitely had a few laugh out loud moments. The sexual tension was of the charts with these two and as soon as they realise the extent of there feelings it was incredible.
I bit of angsty drama but it works out and they get there HEA.
Ilsa sure knows how to write a good epilogue.
Definitely recommend this book and I can't wait to read the next couple x

It's no secret I love Ilsa Madden-Mills. It's almost like her books are written just for me, they hit the perfect note every time. She just writes the best female characters and her guys are pretty freaking awesome too.
Ryker was almost pretty damn perfect, but of course it would be a pretty boring book if he was and lets be honest men aren't known for their logic and smart choices, otherwise what would we do with all our time, if not helping them stumble through life. But I really loved him from the start.
Penelope was brilliant. She was comfortable being exactly who she is and I seriously loved that she let her nerd flag fly. She also didn't care that Ryker was the golden boy, she held him accountable for his actions.
But what I really loved was there was no petty, stupid drama. It was just a great romance that I literally couldn't put down from the first page. Although I never expected anything less. There’s seriously no reason not to one click this right now, unless you want to read I Dare You first, which you don’t need to but I do recommend because it’s awesome and there is a slight character overlap you will enjoy more but this can be stand alone, you know if you really must.

I have had this on my Kindle since release day and have finally managed to read it, yay. It was funny, sweet and sexy too with vampire Bill supplying lots of light relief. Honestly I adored everything about this story.
Penelope is a quirky character that I could just not love from the minute you meet her, she is working part time in a diner and trying to rebuild a relationship with her father after losing her mother suddenly. Sharing her house with her best friend Charisma and her African grey parrot Vampire Bill her life is full. Although she never knows how to act around guys especially one like Ryker Voss, the star Quarterback the one that girls flock to. He starts to show interest in her and as much as she doesn’t want to admit she enjoys his attention and before long she finds herself falling for the man and not the persona that everyone else gets. Could he really want to be with her or does he have ulterior motives?
Ryker Voss is used to attention from girls but Penelope doesn’t care who he is or have stars in her eyes when she looks at him and that for once is refreshing with all the pressure surrounding the team at the moment and scandals from the previous season still rocking the foundation of the team the last thing he was expecting was to feel anything for the quirky Penelope. Things become complicated when his team mates decide to make her a bet. Can he show her how he really feels or will the stakes be too high?
The chemistry and the banter within this couple was great both are the opposite of what they would usually go for and the secondary characters also are fun to read about. Highly enjoyable read and can’t wait for more in this series. Solid five stars and loved the epilogue.

Completely devoured.

I Bet You is about the sassy & nerdy Penelope & the popular jock Ryker, I have to say this is my favourite book so far. I completely devoured it & was thinking about it days later.
⠀⠀
Penelope was a quirky book nerd, who didn’t have a lot of experience with dating, she’s not really Ryker’s number one fan, but when they start an unlikely friendship & spent time together. She starts to see a different side to him, and the possibly of more. They have an undeniable chemistry, and I found myself really hoping they got their HEA.
This series has the perfect amount of angst, emotion, funny moments (from Vampire Bill) and some pretty steamy sexy times.

Penelope hates football players due to her childhood. Ryker is the college quarterback. After a couple of run ins, Ryker offers to help Penelope attract the guy she likes. What starts as a friendship takes a turn into more. The budding relationship hits a couple of bumps that need to be ironed out. Can they open up and confess? Can they fix the mistakes? Will they get their HEA? This book was a great read with comedy, a rude talking bird and larger than life characters!

Fun easy read. Penelope writes romance stories with herself as the maiden and Ryker is the lord of the manor.
Only in real life she's a virgin and he's the hot quarterback.
Soon real life overtakes the stories.

The story was there but it just felt the same as any other college book. I struggled with this one and normally I wouldn't with this kind of story.
