This book of the series is just as good as the rest of series, I didn't see aurora team up with Jared for anything. And I didn't see her leaving town with Dante and Giselle instead of leaving with fane, joss, and Noel. It was a great read

In this fourth book in the Aurora Sky series, the secrets are finally staring to come out. Good action and well-paced.

3.0 out of 5 stars For me, just okay 17 September 2016

I am not as impressed with Hunting Season. There is too much fluff. There is too much made of planning to save Dante, when the simplest, most efficient plan is mentioned halfway through the book. Aurora already has all of the help she needs and a solid plan to pull off the rescue. Instead, this book’s plot becomes more and more convoluted the further it goes.

For me, this book is okay. I like the further development of the Noel character. I appreciate the level of self discovery and maturation experienced by Aurora. One of my favorite examples of this:

“Suddenly I felt bereft at all the opportunities I’d missed to drive out and see the belugas. I’d never once pulled over the check out a Dall sheep. They were just another thing I took for granted.” (Aurora Sky, Into The Wild: Location 3604 of 4536)

Having already finished this series, I can say that I wish the final three books (Hunting Season, Whiteout, and True North) were combined into two books, with most of the fluff removed. 2 3/4 stars

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this whole series and this entry doesn't disappoint 4 March 2015

I love this whole series and this entry doesn't disappoint. It opens with a bang and runs at a pretty breakneck pace throughout. Good news for Fane lovers, he makes much more of an appearance in this book than he did in the last one. Without giving too much away, the series is advanced in a satisfactory manner and more answers to Aurora, Noel, Dante, and Valerie's situation are given. We're also given more backstory about Jared, Melcher, Fane, and Gabrielle.

Given that we're left with a cliffhanger of sorts, I can't wait until the next book comes out.
5.0 out of 5 stars Make way for a new Master, Nikki Jefford will join the ranks of the GREAT ONES 7 June 2015

What do YOU want? It is here? Vampires? Vampire Hunters? Sensuality, romance, exotic and unusual locations. Sinfully deep and truly delicious characters that are so unerringly human, you forget they are INHUMAN. Characters with so verymuch life in them that you forget they are the undead? Bloodsuckers so flawed and "mortal" that you forget they are immortal? Oh, what a tangled web Nikki Jefford weaves, she creates such reality, that you forget it is an illusion; the true mark of a master of their craft.

I have become a tremendous fan, Nikki joins the ranks of great epic novelists like Author: Dana Fuller Ross of the Wagons West! series and Author: Dana Clayton Porter of the White Indian series; as I write this I realize that most people reading this will not have ever even heard of these authors, so suffice it to say that she has joined an elite class of master authors specializing in creating a long term relationship between characters and reader. It takes a special and rare gift to create this type of artistry, not simply a novel and not merely a few characters in a book, but a sense of community to which the reader not only feels they are members of—but such an obsequious environment that said reader mourns the sense of loss at the end of each saga—the only limit to the length of the series being the one placed upon it by the author, for the readers continually crave news and updates from these characters that have become members of their extended family and like family, some are charming, others daunting, there are the charming and the disarming, the alarming and those we simply fall in love with.

She creates a unique breed of vampire that I find appealing and as an author myself, Author: J.L. Day [...] I have never really discovered written or cinematic vampire characters to my liking, other than my own. Nikki, however; has managed to completely entice and captivate my attention and I have found myself smitten with her characters and this entire series. She has done such a truly phenomenal job, I did not even realize it myself; I thought I was merely impressed and enjoying these books, which was quite true. But I did not realize how crafty she was and how she had sneakily she had ensnared me, leaving me completely captivated, this forth book slowly building into a crescendo that left me practically foaming at the mouth as if I myself had hydrophobia and was perhaps a rabid beast. I swear, I was pawing at the ground and stomping my feet, salivating and foaming at the mouth while I practically paced the floor as I read the last half to final quarter of the book. I was prancing with excitement, flipping through the paged, heart racing/pounding and my pulse drumming in my ears. Every possible outcome flittered through my mind as I raced towards the end, I snapped and snarled like a starving hyena at anyone that dared to bother me until at LAST, I reached the final climax and reached the end, spent in total exhaustion, I sighed and finally put the book away—then lay there daydreaming about what is to come in the next book—cursing all the while as I watched the clock tick EVER SO SLOWLY TILL RELEASE DAY

I breathlessly anticipate her next release and cannot WAIT to see what her next offering is after she finishes the Aurora Sky series. I am thinking that as much as I have enjoyed my tryst with this series, I should go back to Amazon and purchase her Spellbound trilogy. I really am enchanted with this author and have great hopes that we finally have another Great One to add to the ranks, it has been too long since we had someone that was truly synonymous with the genre.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does not disappoint! 5 March 2015

I would hate to be Aurora Sky in this book. She has been through so much and has had to learn so much information in this book. She can't catch a break either to save her undead life! This girl is amazing and her character has so much life in her even though hope seems to come and go. Nikki wrote another fantastic book to add to an already amazing series. The beginning all the way to the end held my attention and had me waiting on edge for the next event to happen. So much happened in this book yet we are left with so much unfinished business for Aurora and her friends. I love Dante and hope he can find happiness other than with Aurora and accept her as a friend. I hope Aurora can eventually be happy with Fane. I can't wait for the next one to come out!!

Seriously. I need "Whiteout" like NOW. So many things to love about this one. I'm glad Aurora has made a decision on her love life and is finally realizing that truth is better than lies, though leaving Fane as she did was harsh. I understand why she did it but gah. I guess I just wanted them to get it together and be able to take the trips she wants. Noel I still love and the hopes I had for her and Aurora's friendship healing were realized. It's good to have some one to trust and they finally realize that. Evil Red can burn for all I care.

All in all a great addition to the series. The back stories for some of the characters that I have been curious about are intriguing. Oh and. I can totally see Fane as an actor back in the day. That made me giggle.
