I do like this series and book three was no exception. Our main girl, Lizzie, is awesome at being the heroine without overdoing it - she’s not a special snowflake or a superhero, and she’s not afraid to ask for help when it’s needed.
As all good Urban Fantasy novels are renowned for, we had to wait for the relationship between Lizzie and Aiden to develop. Finally we get to see some action between the witch and the werewolf. I also like how the side characters play such a constant and important role in the plot of each book and the series progression. The only thing I’m beginning to get restless on, is the lack of clarification with Lizzie and Belle’s past; I can’t wait for that proverbial can of worms to spill out all over the town.
Arthur has once again written a great UF about grisly (and detailed) murders, kickass witches, a coffee shop with cakes I’d like to try, and supernatural creatures done well. I’m already impatient for book four.
