Product Description

Will one man change everything Caroline's ever thought about love?

Caroline Lowther’s in a long-term open relationship with her boyfriend of nearly four years, Nathan MacMillan. For the past six months, Nathan’s had another girlfriend, Rissa, while Caroline has yet to find anyone else who interests her in a romantic way. That is until Benedict Grant, a local business man in an open-relationship of his own, approaches her at her favorite cafe and makes his own attraction clear.

What follows is a whirlwind romance where two hearts fall fast for one another, secrets kept become desires revealed, and the shocking murder of someone close to Caroline leaves her world shattered and her heart broken.

Picking up the pieces, Caroline must learn that life has immeasurable merit, love is worth holding on to even if it’s different from what she’s always thought, and every single moment leads her right where she needs to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Unexpected 22 April 2015

When I read that this book was going to be about people in open relationships I have to admit that it was kind of a turn off. I will also admit that I had a lot of preconceived, stereotypical ideas about what I was going to be reading. I was pleasantly surprised. Caroline is in an ongoing open relationship with her boyfriend who she lives with Nathan, Nathan is dating a woman named Rissa, Caroline hasn't felt attracted to another man besides her boyfriend in a long time. Then she meets Benedict. Benedict is also in an open relationship with his partner Miranda, but hasn't found anyone else he is interested in besides Miranda, and Miranda kind of talked Benedict into the open relationship so she could date Len. Are you still with me? I know that's a handful of people to keep track of, a love... Quadrangle? Anyway keep going it's worth it, because when Caroline and Benedict get together WOW! The romance between Caroline and Benedict is sizzling hot, sparklingly electric with a real, true connection. In the spirit of honesty and openness Benedict is introduced to Nathan before the relationship begins. A mutual respect is held for openness and honesty with all of the parties involved Or is it? With so many people involved, there are bound to be problems that emerge. Will feelings get stepped on, hurt? What secrets are being hidden away? Well I've said all I am going to say without spoiling anything. Just know that while this brand of romance pushes at boundaries for some, myself included, it is a worthwhile read. Just one final note, this story involves twists and things unexpected and the ending is no exception. You will want to move on to the next book! I know I do! Can't wait to find out what happens!
4.0 out of 5 stars Surprised I liked it so well. 16 June 2017

I'm rather surprised how much I enjoyed this. I generally don't like too much angst, but this stopped just shy of the too much angst line. It's not angst for angst's sake - the characters are well defined and believable, their broken-ness real, not manufactured.

There's a lot going on, and I am glad I read all three parts together. I don't think I would have liked the cliffhangers at the end of parts one and two.

I'm not going to dissect the story and give away what-all happens, you'll just have to believe that I enjoyed the story. What keeps it from getting 5 stars is mainly just personal preference. I'm not big on first person, and present tense is a tricky thing to do well. For the most part, Ms. Haze does a decent job of pulling it off, but there are occasional tense errors which jarred me out of the bubble - but the fact I was able to get in the bubble for a first person book says a lot. That doesn't often happen for me when reading first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy ¿*%¢! 10 October 2014

This was so good!! I'm so glad I pre-ordered it! The story line is intriguing, taboo - it takes you into a sacred place you want to know more about but are ashamed to admit. Fascinating and fast paced, I highly recommend this book... I absolutely cannot wait for more of this series.
Polygamy is frowned upon, but in some instances it just works. Caroline and Nathan are proof of this, Rissa and Benedict being their proof. Love is hard to come by, so when you stumble upon it, cherish it, nurture it, enjoy its growth. Every love has its dark secrets, especially when multiple people are involved... So when Caroline hears a private conversation between lovers, her own heart is put at risk...

It was a good romance she starts noticing another man end her boyfriend Nathan who has a bunch of secrets of his own n the other man Benedict who is a great man who's also on an open relationship but he doesn't have the same relationship as she does with Nathan after an event she leaves for months n months n she sees him n it starts her feeling again n she makes a decision n starts her feeling again! The ending chacter is soooo hot I received this book from reading alley in exchange for my honest review but I also own it
5.0 out of 5 stars I love the play of a unique relationship in this series 16 July 2015

I love the play of a unique relationship in this series. I have read all books and the start grabs you like that song that gets you pumped in the club. The characters aren't two dimensional horn dogs, they are complex and have true emotions which you feel. This book/series has a bit of everything, but is a bit less kinky then the other books i have read from Violet. these books made me a fan of her writing and i feel they will make you one as well.
