5.0 out of 5 stars A DEFINITE MUST BUY! 14 October 2015

An outstanding addition to the Human Legion universe! I was hesitant at first when Tim Taylor brought on Ian Whates as a co-author, afraid it would change what made the series great. Luckily, try as I might, I could find no trace of differing voices in the narrative and the story was as great as ever!! I agree, it could've been longer, book five could come out tomorrow or we could find out that Hollywood came to their senses and was turning it into a movie, but.... otherwise it was fantastic. Overall, I whole heartedly give it five stars!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Fine read 21 December 2015

Our protagonist has finally worked through most of his adolescent growing pains and the tale moves on to a great deal more action. I have nothing against stories that try to deal with intense emotional and maturational conflict but in military SF battles at the small unit level or on the scale of armies and massive fleet are what drive the genre. This is the fine read I've been waiting for.
5.0 out of 5 stars The plot thickens 24 November 2015

The story continues, leaving a need for more and more. What happens next is obvious, but how is the general going to do it? I know that I can't wait to find out! This book has no obvious editing errors(I wish I was an early reader). It is an action story with few pauses for reflection. I loved it and obviously want more.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very well thought out characters who improve with each book 6 February 2016

The authors have developed a great set of characters who can hold the story line together. I have found that the story flows well from book to book without the usual skips and starts often found in other authors works. The story has enough unique technologies and events to hold your interest.
4.0 out of 5 stars Worth a Read 24 October 2015

Taylor's 4th entry was a decent well-edited read and certainly worth the price. Is it by any means a work of literary genius? Not at all, but I had a diverting few hours reading it. It required a pretty significant suspension of disbelief, but with that suspension of disbelief it was an engaging and fun read.
