A high performance phone with superb camera

This phone is amazing. The build is solid. The cameras are among the best. The battery life is great (it lasts two days with no recharge for normal use). The performance is impressive. Having just came off a Samsung flagship I find the Chinese chipset performs really well.

Negatives - I am still trying to find one.

Solid. Very complete and features packed phone. Not for everyone though.

Good Camera but not great. (ultrawide is nice tho)
The main shooter looks weaker than my old pixel 2 and the selfies are much worse. Great flexibility, but not image quakity.

Excellent battery life, 7hrs screen on time, but not quite 2 days phone for even moderate usage.

Couple of bugs, nothing too bad. But the system doesn't feel fluid even it is quite fast. EMUI is pretty bad and there is no EMUI 10 (android q) for this Australian version just yet, which will overall improve the fluidity of the phone. Probably soon, but not a great recommendation until then. But Amazon is kind enough to offer refund, so worth trying this out, you may like it better than I did.

Signals are fantastic though, wifi / LTE speed is also substantially faster and more stable than my pixel 2 / iphones.

Good design, notch is easy to hide. The back has a really addictive feel to touch. Coloured power button is nice to see it there, but only on the blue varient. Reverse wireless charging works, not goos enough for phones but you may charge the airpods overnight whilst you are plugged in to charge the phone.

Weak speakers though, but sound quality is not bad. Dolby atmos is nice and you can tweak the EQ which I loved. Not really loud but sufficient.

Overall a good piece of tech in this price point if you don't mind EMUI and slow software updates.

Great battery life and camera

Had this phone now for 18 months. Still has fantastic battery life, runs everything I throw at it. Fantastic camera as well, does great night shots and have been using it with an Osmo 3 with great success. This was one of the last huawei phones to work with Google play store and still does. Huawei do the monthly Android security updates without fail.
