About the Author

Erik Arneson is a tabletop game enthusiast and former newspaper reporter who has written more than 200 articles about games for publications, including The Spruce, Knucklebones, Counter, and the Opinionated Gamers website. He has been a featured speaker on the topic of board game publicity at the American International Toy Fair in New York City, and is regularly quoted as a board game expert. Erik's personal game collection topped out at more than 1,000, and he has hosted and taken part in countless game nights. By day, Erik is Executive Director of the Office of Open Records in Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he worked in the Pennsylvania Senate for 18 years.
