Product Description

What’s sexier than a bad boy? A bad ass man who’s got his shit together.

Max Alexander is nearing thirty-five. He’s built a successful company, and he’s conquered the professional world, but he’s never been lucky in love. Focusing so much time on his business and raising his daughter, adulting has come at the expense of his personal life.

His social skills are shit, his patience is shot, and at times, his temper runs hot.

The last thing he has time for is the recently single, too gorgeous for her own good young woman he hires to take care of his little girl. She’s a distraction he doesn’t need, and besides, there’s no way she’d be interested. But you know what they say about assumptions?

This is book 3 in the Roommates series, but each book can be read as a complete standalone as they all feature new couples to fall in love with.

This is the 3rd book in the Roommates series, but each book can be read as a stand alone (I still haven't read the first book!)

This book could easily have fallen into the "dad schtupping the babysitter" trap, however it didn't. Well, maybe it did, but it didn't have the skeezy feel that it could have.

I adored Max and Addison right from the get go. I felt things came more as a surprise than the blurb lead me to believe, that is a good thing though.

Max Alexander is an easy guy to fall for. I thought I loved the characters in the previous book, however Max has wiped the floor with him. What is not to like about a sexy, tattooed sweetheart?

Addison is the breath of fresh air that our Max didn't realise he needed. There is also an instant spark, an attraction between our lovelies that cannot be denied, no matter how much the both try.

Max with his little girl is all kinds of swoonworthy. How could Addison's - or my - heart not want in on that?

I think I read most of this book with a smile on my face. It is sweet and cute and sexy and I couldn't wait to turn each page.

It has been a while since I have read much of Ms Ryan's work, but now it has made me feel like I need to go back and read more again.

Can't wait to see what she brings us next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smoking hot daddy needs a seriously skilled nanny to care for his adorable little bundle 21 April 2017

Woowzers... These roommates just keep getting hotter and hotter, don't they? When Max's life gets turned upside down, he needs a crash course in baby care 101 fast. Smoking hot daddy needs a seriously skilled nanny to care for his adorable little bundle. Addison needs a "do-over". A fresh start to get her life back on track. She answers the ad, sparks fly and there's no denying the appreciation Max wants to show Addison.

First off, hot construction company owner and a baby. YES PLEASE!! This man may be closed off to love because of a crash and burn relationship, but thats where the heat starts to turn up. He needs something he just can't quite put his finger on. Maybe an itch that needs to be scratched? All Max know is that as soon as Addison steps into his house for her interview, he knows. He just knows there is something more to the girl standing in front of him. She senses a pull toward this man and allows herself to fall complexly in love with his baby. She's hiding a past that may drive him away, but he wants her future right there with him.

This book was adorably sweet and sexy. Hot builder and sexy nanny equals TOTALLY FORBIDDEN YUMMINESS! These two could dance a tango around their feelings and still would have ended up together somehow because the pull was to great. I loved the turn this book took in the series. Not swinging singles, but real life situations that showed how sexy and seductive responsibility can be. Parenting isn't glam and glitz all the time, but find the right partner and it can be off the charts sextastic! 4.5 stars and a total recommend! -FMR Book Grind

5.0 out of 5 stars By far my favorite in the series... Max is perfection! 22 April 2017
By Nikki ~ Saint and Sinners Books~ - Published on Amazon.com

By far my favorite in the series. I am 100% in love with Max Alexander. Bad boy (check), tattoos (check), single father (ovaries exploding – check), sexy as sin (check), dirty talking alpha male (check), and of course forbidden relationship (check). Yep no doubt this book is PURE PERFECTION!!!!

Max isn’t into commitment at all. He only has flings for a bit then moves on with his life. He has a successful career with no burdens tying him down… what more could he need? Enter surprise #1 – a daughter Max had no clue about. Now Max is thrown into to role of being a single parent while trying to focus on his job as well. It’s time for Max to hire some help enter surprise #2 – Addison.

Addison is coming out of a bad relationship. She needs to move forward with her life and focus on her career. When she sees the full time nanny ad she knows it’s perfect. When she meets Max’s daughter, they instantly fall in love. Everything is perfect… she just has to keep her hands off the sexy single father with the sexy as all get out tattoos.

I adored both Addison and Max. And of course Max’s daughter is a doll! The sexual chemistry between Max and Addison is off the charts. These two have it so bad for each other it’s only a matter of time before someone gives in. Who could it be? This book goes down as one of my top reads of 2017!! I devoured it in one sitting, and I will be going back for more!

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay read 10 May 2017

Addison is still reeling from the unexpected blow her ex boyfriend has dealt her. She's not only humiliated that her ex is gay, but she's now homeless and jobless.
Max is your typical one night stand only bachelor, until the night an ex drops off an unexpected package...his one year old daughter, Dylan. Suddenly, Max is stuck with the ultimate responsibility, being a single parent.
Quickly looking for a nanny, Addison fits the bill as Mary Poppins, 2.0. She not only has a degree in education (sort of), she bonded instantly with Dylan. The fact that she's hot hasn't escaped Max's notice, either.
So what do you do when you have the hots for your nanny, but your last relationship lasted all of three months, and neither party was into each other besides the regular sex? Well, if you were Max and Addison, and were equally in lust with each other, you'd go for it, despite interferences from outside forces.
While this was a very quick read, I couldn't connect with Addison. For most of the book, she acted as if she was still in middle school, drooling over her latest crush. At one point, I was expecting her to pass notes to her best friend, extolling the virtues of Max. I understood why she was hesitant to start something with anyone, especially after her disastrous last relationship, but grow up!
Max was slightly better, but not by much. Their past histories were touched upon, but never delved further than Max was raised in the Army, and joined up, and Addison was raised by a single mom who works for the CDC.
There was also an office assistant of Max's who clearly had had a one night stand with her boss, and felt that she deserved more, and was a constant thorn in Max's side, as was Jenn, Dylan's mother. She, too, felt that raising a daughter wasn't worth it, unless Max came with the deal.
The rushed ending bothered me, because I felt that these characters barely knew each other, had sex a few times, and then HEA, the end. I think if the author had taken more time to fully develop these characters, and had them spend more time actually getting to know each other on more than a superficial level, I would have enjoyed this more.
5.0 out of 5 stars I'd Live With Him! 23 May 2017

Kendall Ryan strikes the perfect balance of light-hearted and sexy, swoon worthy hero in this single dad and nanny story. And that's tough... in order for the light hearted, you need the dad who is a little lost. But to make him swoon worthy, you need the capable man who can handle anything. The balance for Max in this is that while he wasn't perfect, he was all in. And, really, there's nothing sexier than a man who makes a commitment and is just there...no matter what.

Max is one of those guys who is a better person than he thinks he is... we all know the type, the guys who say they are afraid of commitment but are actually afraid of commitment to the wrong person. But when the right one appears, or in this case 2 of the right people, he's all in. And he knows it. And he doesn't waver. And, even better, he's not afraid to show it.

Addison is perfect for Max. She loves him and his daughter Dylan, and they hit it off right from the start. And, another thing I loved is that this is allowed to happen. He's so genuine and honest, so all in with wanting Addison to know how attracted he is to her... you can't help but swoon again.

There were a lot of things I loved about this book... but the main thing for me was how honest and real it felt. Yes, they're was the drama of falling for the boss/nanny, the fear of messing up a good thing, the uncertainty of the new relationship... but it flowed smoothly. There was no additional drama, none of the easy but contrived misunderstandings... but rather 2 people work emotions and feelings who reached and then fixed things. It was so refreshing to read a book about 2 people who wanted to be where they were, who were willing to do the work and who wanted the reward at the end... enough to fight for it and enough to trust the other person and talk to one another.

Usually there's angst, and drama, in single dad stories. And while there was in this one, I really liked that Ms. Ryan stayed to the core of the story, Max, Addison and Dylan. I loved that the drama was emotional and didn't feel forced or contrived. I loved that once Max made a commitment to Addison that he was all in, to use his words.

There is something about a well-written single dad book and the way they pull at your heart and make you fall in love with the hero. I'm more than a little in love with Max...this book was perfection. There's literally nothing I would change about it, and I'm picky... there's almost always something I wish was different, even in books I love. But there's nothing in this one that I would change.

In case it's not clear, I recommend this book.
4.0 out of 5 stars sweet, low drama single father meets nanny 22 May 2017

Swoonnns!!! This is a cute, sweet, low drama single father meets nanny. He gets his second chance at love and she gets the fairytale HEA. I have a soft spot for romance with tiny people involved and this book is no different – a beautiful and heartwarming love story.

Max is a self-made successful business man. There isn’t much focus on his career other than he was ex-military turned construction company owner. One day he gets a surprise drop off at his door step. Max acquires a daughter that he did not even know existed. She is only one year old. At a loss, he is franticly looking for a live-in nanny to look after her while he figures out a new life that involves dipper and sleepless nights. Here comes Addison to the rescue. Addison just got out of a deceitful relationship – the man she wasted 2 years of her life on had been lying to her in a big way. Addison needs a job and a place to stay so she answers the add to become a nanny. Addison gets the job with Max on the spot. She moves in the guest room right next to Max. He soon finds out it is extremely difficult to stay away from the beautiful, caring nanny. Can they fight the attraction and desire for each other? How will they manage separating work and their love life? There is a tiny bit of drama with Max’s secretary and his ex but there is nothing unexpected. This is a fun, entertaining, short read. The plot is mostly smooth sailing – sexy, light-hearted, heartwarming.
