Product Description

Seventeen-year-old Marianna Bertagnoli is miserable…

Not only did her father abandon her five years ago, now she’s being uprooted and forced to move with her mother and new stepdad to a creepy Victorian house they inherited in the even creepier town of Flocksdale.

Flocksdale has an evil, ugly past—and history has a way of repeating itself…

Marianna notices some strange qualities about her new home, and soon realizes she’s living in none other than the infamous House of Horrors. That’s right, the very house where the demented Garrett family ran a drug ring, leading to the kidnappings and murders of forty young girls.

The dark energy of the town begins to rise again…

Within a week of moving in, Marianna’s mother disappears, one of her small group of new friends is found murdered, and she’s attacked by a man wearing a hideous clown mask. As she searches for answers, Marianna wonders if the malevolence still lingers, somehow alive…and how her stepdad came to own the House of Horrors.

Unsure who to trust, Marianna turns to Wendi Wise, a survivor of the Garretts’ crimes…

Caught up in twisted family ties and surrounded by deceit, Marianna is targeted by a new generation of evil. Doubly imprisoned—in her own body and in the real house of the lost girls—Marianna needs Wendi’s help to unravel the bizarre history of Flocksdale.

But will Marianna survive long enough to bring the evil to light?

Or will she be trapped in the house of the lost girls forever?

Brilliant twists. Great series

Don't read right before bed!
Evil is certainly a place called Flocksdale.
More twists and turns than a labyrinth. Brilliant and heart stopping. Creepy and engaging. Spent most of the time in the edge of my seat. If I was a nail biter I'd have none left! Absolutely loved it. Couldn't put it down.

Carissa Lynch's novel had me up late once again! What an excellent follow up to "Have you seen this Girl?" Far-fetched and totally crazy, but what a great book! The writing is excellent and the author once again draws you in straight away into the story. Well done Carissa, can't wait for the final book in the series :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic read! 4 November 2015

Oh. My. God!!! I am completely blown away by this one, so excuse me while I’m trying to find the right words to express my emotions. Carissa Ann Lynch did it again, made me spend all night up on the edge of my seat, completely engrossed in the dark world of a small city of Flocksdale, and this time she outdid even her best-selling novel “Have You Seen This Girl”!
First of all, the setting is fantastically written. I could feel the gloomy, creepy atmosphere of the small town, see the black river, the nuclear plant on the other side of it (which turned out to be a mental institution), and of course the skating rink, where the abduction of Wendy Wise in book one happened. However, the evil is not going to give up its positions in their favorite corrupt little town.
The main character Marianna is new to Flocksdale, where she was forced to move after her father left several years ago and her mother re-married George, who inherited a family house from his aunt. Imagine the horror of the girl when after suspecting that something was creepy about her new house and after doing some research, she reveals the terrifying truth. Her stepfather George is a relative of the family who used to run a girls-trafficking business, and she lives in the so-called House of Horrors where all those girls had been held captive and murdered.
I can go on and on about this absolutely outstanding thriller, but I will save you the pleasure to discover for yourselves which other horrifying secrets Flocksdale keeps, starting with creepy clowns, suspicious new friends and finishing with demented relatives who aren’t who you think they are. Let me just say that this one definitely made my Halloween special and I can’t thank the author enough for a job greatly done!
P.S. Why can I only give it five stars? I want to give it ten!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good read 11 November 2015

Almost 18-year-old Marianna is not happy. Whether from her parents’ divorce and her father leaving several years back or having to be relocated, she’s not in a good place. And so the story starts and there’s empathy for the protagonist. And, talking about not being in a good place, moving to the creepy town of Flocksdale the theme takes on a dark plot. Right away I’m intrigued and want to know what each new page turn will bring. And, what does comes are strange things, an ugliness, and mysterious happenings that move this read along with a welcome intensity: a disappearance, murder, betrayal, and an intense curiosity to understand that the hell is going on propel the protagonist, Marianna, forward through this at times gut-churning storyline. Sharp and intelligently written scenes like the time she met the first three kids in the new town who were smoking pot and she divulged that her stepdad, George, was a judge. I laughed at this interchange, which is a mark of clever writing. But they weren’t all funny as the plot moved into creepy intrigue, with a love interest turning out to be not what she expected, and a big unexpected surprise to the reader. I don’t want to recount this whole well crafted story, suffice it to say it’s a good read that resonates authentic. It’s the second book I’ve read by this author and after reading this one am sure it won’t be the last.

Carrissa Lynch!! You are an amazing writer! This lady can truly make you feel the pain and horror in this trilogy! She has you knowing exactly what each character is or could be, this book is # 2 in the series and you will not be disappointed in any of them, if you love books that have you sitting on the edge of your seat and still wondering what she has in mind, then you need all 3 books of the FLOCKSDALE FILES, THEY ARE AMAZINGLY WRITTEN AND AWESOMELY EXCITING, these are a must read for all who want to be scared but yet so intrigued you can't put any one of these down till you finish,

5.0 out of 5 stars This town just keeps getting darker 16 April 2016

Book 2 of the Flocksdale Files and a new set of victims.
Marieanne is not happy that she has to leave her friends and school in Ohio, when her stepfather gets a new job in Flocksdale. On their way to her new home which her stepfather inherited of his aunt, she notices how dark and depressing the new town is.
After coming across a book that describes her house as the house of horrors, written by Wendi Wise, she learns all about what went on in that house.
After a girl she has just be friended is found murdered, she goes and talks to Wendi hoping she can explain what has happened.
With her mom missing, 2 boys wanting her attention, a mental asylum and more relatives of the Garretts. Marianne is drawn into the dark seedy world of Flocksdale.
I thought the first book was good, but book 2 surpassed it. The story was well written and found it to be a quick read as it kept my interest from the beginning. The plot was brilliant and I was surprised when the murderers was revealed.
Marieanne is another strong female character and the involvement of Wendi Wise was genius help merge the 2 books together.
I cannot wait to read book 3 to see what else can happen in this evil town.

5.0 out of 5 stars A captivating second book that doesn't disappoint. 29 April 2016

After finishing, Have you seen this girl? I knew I'd have to take a journey back to Flocksdale for the second book and I'm glad I did. This is turning out to be a brilliant series. As with the first book, I was hooked immediately. Marianne has moved to Flocksdale and into a rebuilt House of Horrors with her mother and step-dad. But things are not as they appear as Marianne tries to adjust to life in a new town. After her mother leaves on a trip to New Orleans, things start not to add up. She doesn't trust her step-dad, and it all unravels 3/4 through the book.
As with, Have you Seen This Girl, Ms. Lynch pulls you in with crisp writing and has you guessing until the end. The short chapters force you to continue on due to how captivating the story is. The supporting cast was well written and I liked the way Wendi from the first book was worked into the storyline.
Have you Seen This Girl was the delicious appetizer. This book is the well cooked main dish. I cannot wait to see what the desert will be in the final book.
