Fast paced fun adventure full of "bad guys" and sexual innuendos. When life imitates the freshly completed novel of former Chicago Tribune newspaper man, everyone (including the author) is waiting to see how it all turns out!
This is fun to read and watch the progress of both groups and how they intersect. Many funny moments and unexpected events.
The characters were likeable and fascinating.

The book shelfReviewed in the United States on 30 April 2020
I love the plot and the writing. Some of the characters not so much! Too much crude language....the absence of which was why I read almost everything he has written. Sorry ....moving on to Texas in the hope I get Joseph Flynn back.
A crazy readReviewed in the United States on 22 February 2017
There's nothing like a story by Mr Flynn. How he manages so many characters who crisscross each other's lives never ceases to both amaze me and entertain me. Such tangled webs! A diverse bunch of characters, a book within a book, thieves stealing from each other...This is just a small taste of what this story has to offer. I am never disappointed by one of my favorite authors.

Loved this bookReviewed in the United States on 27 May 2020
I love Flynn’s John Tall Wolf stories, but this was even better. There were so many twist and turns, I couldn’t put the book down. I know how some of the characters in the story felt. I highly recommend this one!
author's writing is getting worseReviewed in the United States on 12 August 2020
It's like reading a book written by a prissy teenager. Just sad. They started out fairly good. Won't have to spend any more money or time on Flynn's books. They are just sadly written.
