Ranger has failed to appear in court. Stephanie refuses to be the bounty hunter to bring him in. Even if the cost is the task being assigned to her arch nemesis, Joyce. Just because she refuses to find him and bring him to justice doesn't mean that she's off the case. She finds herself being followed by two people who are looking for Ranger and Ranger himself seeks her out to assign her to a surveillance job.
This book wasn't as high packed with action like some of the earlier ones, but it was still packed with action. There's also the benefit of getting to meet brand new characters who just add a whole lot more color to the story. Especially the special Moon Man. He's something else. I have to say he's one of my favorite characters in this series.
There were parts of this book that I wish had been enhanced a little more. They seemed a bit rushed and off-kilter because of it. It's nothing really major though. Just small little things that I'm probably being overly judgmental about. I didn't really notice anything horrible about the book. It was as great of a read as the first five.
I fully recommend this series. It's like I Love Lucy does crime. At least that's how I've always seen it. It's hilarious and intense. There are a few passionately sexy moments as well. The characters are easy to get attached to. I can't praise the book enough!
