Carrie Marsh is the youngest of three sisters and the most conservative. She was supposed to get married but has ended up on her honeymoon alone due to the actions of her groom just before the wedding. Chris McCann is the tan god and resident who helps Carrie change her reservations for two to reservations for one, but he is interested in maybe helping her with more than just arrangements.
In laid back Key West you can sometimes find more than just sun and fun, you can sometimes find a new way of life.
This is a very hot story that gives more than a passing tingle. There is a love story as well as the usual sex. There is some light BDSM, menage play, mff, mmf, mfm, toy play, and anal play. If you do not like any of these I would say give it a pass, but if you are adventurous then you should give it a read.
Carrie discovers that on Key West she can leave her inhibitions behind and experience sexual desires and satisfactions unimaginable to her in her staid life in Maryland.
She has the extraordinary good fortune to hook up (yes, that is EXACTLY what she does) with Chris, a hot, adventurous male who also has a tender, loving side to his very masculine nature. (If you're a bit tired of contrived Alpha heroes, Chris will be a joy to meet in this novel.)
My only criticism is of the opening sexual episode when Carrie witnesses another couple having public sex on their hotel balcony--it didn't seem that believable. But there are other episodes of public sex (with Carrie as an eager participant)that are simply hot, hot, HOT (and much more believable)!
Some readers might be put off by the frequent use of the "C" word, but that's a matter of personal taste. Hey, you shouldn't read Lacey Alexander if you don't want to encounter hardcore sex and its vocabulary.
The novel includes substantial casual and lust-driven bisexuality (FFM and MMF threesomes). Of course, I just wish there had also been an orgy or two! Perhaps Lacey could revisit Cole and Amy (the balcony sex pair) in a future book where they manage to lose some of there own inhibitions about sharing! Also, there's a potential story with Carrie, Chris and Shay getting together in an open relationship. (Shay is a sexy, uninhibited gal who introduces Carrie to girl-on-girl sex.) But I guess the FINALLY monogamous HEA formula wouldn't allow that.
Lacey Alexander is a master (mistress?) of vivid descriptions of sexual feelings and encounter. Very sexually arousing and HIGHLY recommended.
