With Hopelessly Devoted, R.J. Jones merrily brings us back into the lives of faithful and true Jason and Paul who meet, romanced and fell forever in love in The One That I Want (The One That I Want, #1). With fingers snapping, hips a swaying, and melodies playing everywhere, its time for the boys to get hitched! And the plans are for them to do it in grand style. But we all know how that will play out. From the old romantic comedies to the lovable musicals on stages, we are right there as R. J. Jones smoothly moves Jason and Paul effortlessly from society's expectations to love's surprises in another short story just as charming and heartwarming as the first.

At 38 pages, it goes by even more quickly than the first story, more so because we want to get to the wedding along with Jason and Paul. The light-hearted writing style, the plot and the characters all add up an appealing duo of romances, wonderful when you want that quick fun love story to read. Leave the layering, the angst, the darkness to the other stories, and enjoy this for what it is, pure and simply sweet romance. If that speaks to you, then Hopelessly Devoted and The One That I Want are just the stories for you.

Cover art is just as perfect for this story as the first cover was for it.

The One That I Want & Hopelessly Devoted To You by RJ Jones is a series that I read and read and then read again. Yes, it is one of those things which automatically become a favorite read, especially since singing in my mind are two of favorite songs from a favorite play made into a movie starring a favorite actor and a fantastic Aussie actress/singer. Grease is one of my go-to movies when I just want to relax and enjoy.

This is the story of Jason who sought to escape real life in musicals. He meets a gorgeous man in an elevator and strike a relationship that first began in friendship but soon morphed into a love that I can honestly call: morantic.

Yes, morantic. I don't think I have used that word for some time now. Morantic, for those not familiar with my usage, is a local slang for cheesy-romantic-make-your-heart-throb-and-giggle-through read. These two books are truly entertaining that can make your eyes roll at the silliness and make one go awww at the romance unfolding.

Grinning silly through this back to back read, Jason and Paul's journey from the elevator to the altar is truly fairytale-like that it leaves one with that silly smile and aching heart of what ifs.

I wish these two were not short and light reads for the highest I give these reads are a 4. In my heart, these are worthy of 5 stars, especially if you are seeking love, laughter and romantic dreaming written by an author who knows just what buttons to push.

Hopelessly Devoted is the follow-up to The One That I Want by R.J. Jones. In the sequel to Paul and Jason’s story, they continue their obsession with two characters from Grease.

The story starts on their wedding day with a nervous Jason talking to Paul’s sister. Jason, though, is distracted by the thought of not having any family there to support him. Paul’s family members have taken to him, support him, and love him like he hasn’t been loved in a long time.

Jason learns that Paul and his dad made a road trip to personally give Jason’s parents their wedding invitation. Paul has tried over and over to get Jason to try and reconnect. He thinks Jason is overselling their bigotry until he gives the invitation to Jason’s dad.

There’s also quite a hilarious story regarding Dave, Jason’s cat. It seems that he likes to pee in shoes and Paul doesn’t quite grasp the seriousness of this problem. One day, though, Paul comes running out of their bedroom threatening Dave. He looks at Jason and says that Dave is going to an animal shelter. Jason must then tell the tale of how Dave saved him.

Once again, this short story has whimsical plots that will make you laugh. The shenanigans of both these men are quite amusing and their devotion for each other is very passionate and romantic. The range of emotions I felt reading this story was immense and I loved every second of it!

“Hopelessly Devoted to You” is the follow up to “The One that I want”…..Yes…..You are not seeing things. The titles are taken from Grease and they totally fit the story of a fun loving, Broadway junkie (Jason) and his finance (Paul).

Jason & Paul first meet in the previous book so you’ll need to read that prior to this. Here we are 1 year later and we get to follow Jason & Paul on their journey to wedded bliss. They don’t always get along and agree but what makes the story true to heart is they manage to work together to make their special day one to remember.

I wish the stories weren’t so short because I would love to spend hours in their world. Again, Jones did a fantastic job in making you fall in love with Jason & Paul. It was fun, sweet, romantic and just down right entertaining.

I was pleasantly surprised to know that there was a sequel to “The one I want” – this cute couple so deserved a sequel!

After one year together, Paul and Jason’s wedding day finally arrived, but, even marrying the man of his dreams, Jason’s life is not only roses…

Being together on a day by day routine, showed them the struggles, adaptations, concessions that they would have to face if they want their relationship to work. They will get some things right, others wrong, but ultimately, they’ll learn that all decisions must be made together to work.

Paul, always the romantic one, will do his best to make their marriage more than unforgettable for Jason.

This is such a great sequel - I had an amazing time reading it.
