Eher ein Marketing-Buch für den Autor

Ich hab mich auf das Buch gefreut, leider wurde ich eher enttäuscht. Und das aus folgenden Gründen:
- Selbstmarketing des Autors: Typisch amerikanisch gibt der Autor alle paar Seiten damit an, mit welchen tollen Unternehmen er bereits gearbeitet hat. Ebenso gibt es nach jedem Kapitel den Hinweis, wie man mit ihm Zusammenarbeiten kann. Mir kommt es daher eher wie eine Werbe-Broschüre vor.
- Versprechen werde nicht eingehalten: Eigentlich geht es darum, wie man Aufmerksamkeit für Inhalte generiert. Der Autor erklärt zwar ausführlich, warum ein Hook wichtig ist - nur nicht, wie man ihn wirklich erstellt. Die Tipps sind eher allgemein und sehr unkonkret. Ich vermute, dies ist beabsichtigt, damit sein Unternehmen beauftragt wird.
- Der Autor packt alles unter dem Begriff "Hook", was erfolgreich ist - selbst eine Geschäftsidee oder eine Vetriebsstruktur sein angeblich ein Hook.
- Das Buch ist unnötig aufgebauscht mit vielen Beispielen, ohne zu erklären, wie man es für das eigene Unternehmen einsetzen kann. Mir persönlich fehlen also konkrete Maßnahmen.
Fazit: Schöne Versprechen, mir fehlt aber die Substanz.

Extremely Helpful Book

This is an excellent follow-up to the author's previous book, which I found just as insightful and useful for more than the obvious marketing purposes. We all are completely inundated with messages and content from so many places that finding a way to make an impact and be memorable seems impossible, but there are many strategies here that I put to use literally the next day. Definitely would recommend!

Having been an online entrepreneur since 2002, I've seen businesses fail and businesses thrive. Reading Hook Point has made it clear what the difference is between the two. You have to standout in order to be seen and make an impact. I highly recommend this book! It's definitely given me ideas about what makes a business great and how to standout (and make more money and serve more people).
