Life is hard, but it makes you strong in many ways that people will never understand. Seventeen year old Honey always kept her head in the books, made straight A's, and stayed to herself but her life is far from perfect. After a tragic loss, Honey's life starts to spiral out of control, she is sent to live with her father, Brian, the preacher at the local church. People saw him as a saint, but Honey knew the real monster that he really was. While dealing with her father's vile ways and the drama at school, Honey meets Kai who seems to be the only person that makes her feel secure.

A decent read6 July 2019 - Published on Amazon.com
This was a decent read. A shy, but smart girl faces various challenges - being bullied, poverty, loss of mother, etc. But the worst comes when she has to live with her estranged father - a preacher man who abuses her. She eventually learns to stand up for herself, even finding love in the process. I loved the ending. The writing could have bee stronger, but still a decent read.
It was a tear catcher.18 July 2019 - Published on Amazon.com
I liked that I couldbt predict what wad going to happen. For a second I thought she was actually going to have to live with her Dad.
