The Daisies have started the next chapter welcoming new band member Glenn Hughes. Also known as "The Voice Of Rock", Glenn has taken over lead vocals and bass guitar, joining guitarists Doug Aldrich, David Lowy and drummer Deen Castronovo. With the addition of Glenn Hughes, The Daisies supercharge their front line through his rock solid bass grooves and unmatched vocal intensity. As all fans know, the man is a true original, inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, with a rich history of music that features heavy weights like Deep Purple and Black Country Communion as well as a successful solo career. One might say: "They don't build rockers like him anymore". Followers can expect more High-Voltage Rock songs, indomitable grooves and spellbinding lyrics, all the ingredients that have made this music so timeless, out-living trends of the modern day. The sound of The Dead Daisies is entrenched in the Hard Rock way of life we all love but as a living, breathing rock band, they are constantly evolving & bringing new dynamics to a classic style.

The guitar work is top notch - shredding, riffs and soloing as you want from a Hard Rock outfit. The drumming is fast and powerful and the Bass playing fantastic as you would expect from Glenn Hughes. He continues to set the bar high for vocals - he is the most talented singer in my lifetime.
Are the songs any good ? Well yes they are, they have you hooked from start to finish. Some albums run out of steam before the end or dip part way through, but not here. Repeated listening is essential to fully appreciate everything and take it all in. The best Hard Rock album in a long, long time. The Dead Daisies are the business.
First and foremost, I have not always been a fan of Glenn Hughes but when I found out he was joining the band, I began to think that this could be the band for him. Thankfully I was on the money, his voice fits right in with the band. His rock pedigree is second to none, but this is the best act I've heard him with since Deep Purple.
I've got all the Daisies albums and this one stacks up really well with everything else in their catalogue. There is not one duff track on the album. From start to finish I was smiling when each new song came on and was disappointed when the album finished.
Great album from a great band, I only hope we get to see them tour this one. Fingers crossed!
