Hollywood Dirt Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Cole Masten. Abandoned by his superstar wife, Hollywood's perfect husband is now Hollywood's sexiest bachelor: partying hard and screwing even harder. Watch out Los Angeles, there's a new bad boy in town.
Summer Jenkins. That's me, a small town girl stuck in Quincy, Georgia. I cook some mean chicken and dumplings, can bluff a grown man out of his savings in poker, and was voted Most Friendly my senior year.
We were from different worlds. Our lives shouldn't have collided. But then Cole Masten read a book about my small town. And six months later, his jet landed on our dusty airstrip, and he brought Hollywood with him. From the start, I knew he was trouble. For our town. And for me. Sometimes, opposites just aren't meant to attract.

These two together are sooo right! I loved this story so much! The story Line was great and the dialogue and descriptive writing of both characters, places and the events taking place within the story were amazing, and at times HOT and really made the story relatable!
However, when I got to about the last four chapters I kind of felt cheated that is kind of just ended so quickly! I wanted their story to keep going and would have loved another book in this story to continue with their future...and mamas.
I just thought it was a five star story until it kind of just started summarising what happened after Cole gave in! Then everything just kind of Cs e to a conclusion after such a descriptive and in depth story!! As I said I loved it but would have loved more!!
A wonderful slow burn story that hooked me in. It wasn't a short tale either. The characters were very engaging & a good mix. Cole was that typical arrogant movie star & Summer a sweet yet sassy country girl. Their connection started with a love/hate vibe & the buildup was sexy & hot. A perfect couple that complimented the other.
A touch of humour esp Summer's gift was a highlight that I won't divulge. Read it & see.
In the end I just smiled & had that feel good feeling! Oh how I would love to see this movie.
There, he meets Summer, a woman still caught up in hurts and incidents from her past.
But, as soon as she opens her smart mouth, Cole is blown away. He just has to have her in his movie.
Cole's 'perfect marriage' has just collapsed and he is warned to stay away from any sexual relationships while he is filming. But he can't resist that sassy blonde.
The characters are engaging and the comedic scenes are enjoyable. Contains adult themes.
BONUS: photos and an extended epilogue. Don't miss them.
Hollywood Dirt had been on my TBR list forever and let me tell you it did not disappoint ! Summer and Cole's chemistry was amazing I loved everything about them!. Their banter was funny, sexy and sometimes even sweet. Let's not forget Cocky! he was definitely a scene stealer loved him. A blazing 5 star read for me!
Having said that it was well written with great character development and a story line that was unique and easy to follow.
I dont hate it but it is not a top read for me, its just okay.

Loved the story, characters and town. Oh and the chicken.... sorry rooster.
The story is obviously a rags to riches, will they won't they love story for the heroine Summer. Who is as light and breezy as her name. Until she's annoyed. I really enjoyed this about her character. I often wanted someone to provoke her, just to see the quick tempered reactions. (I think everyone should have a bit of Summers attitude in them.) Normally aimed at Cole. She's a fiery spirit with a secret to hide, that she is hurting from.
The seriously sexy Hollywood heart throb, Cole Masten. Who is used to getting his own way, but has just had his heart broken. Gets put on a plane to Quincy. To keep out of trouble. But trouble is stood on a pouch in the form of Summer. He just can't work her out, and loves to push her buttons. With vulnerability on display and not knowing weather to listen to his head and his heart, he struggles to understand not only himself but the woman with the southern spitfire attitude. All while dealing with a pet. (Who I think steals the show, and teaches Cole about looking after someone else and not just his own needs)
The book is in both Summer and Cole's eye's. Which I think helps to really understand both the characters and the struggle they both have. Fast paced. With lots of chemistry, that both characters try to avoid. Not wanting to get their hearts broken again. Of course (as is always the way, with a story like this) you root for the characters to sort their differences out and get together. The chemistry jumps right of the page. With tender moments and verbal jousting, in the right mix.
A must read.
Would definitely recommend.
The sexual tension between Hollywood superstar Cole Masten and Southern gal Summer Jenkins was clear from the get go, their love-hate relationship one that could only end one way.
Summer’s mum is a secondary character I couldn’t help but like, and she ensured I smiled more than once.
I do think that most of the members of Summer’s small town need their heads examined – I don’t get how they can keep Summer out of their good graces but forgive her douchebag of an ex-fiancé. Oh well in the end she gets the last laugh.
Along as you’re able to leave reality at the door and are in mood for a book where the pace is a little slow (but not painfully so), this is a book that you’ll find yourself comfortably sinking into.
Freebie on the 6th December 2019.
The not so good: I know I'm in the minority here but the story didn't quite work for me and there were some inconsistencies and surprisingly, some grammar mistakes.
At one point Summer is looking at a contract; great detail is given to how it was presented, how it arrived via Fedex. Next chapter she is forwarding on the email with the contract attachment to her attorney. That was a bit odd.
Loved reading about Brad again BUT he was so one-dimensional. If you hadn't read the Blindfolded Trilogy (do, best of Alessandra's work in my opinion) you'd have thought he was a right t*sser...which he isn't.
The storyline is soooo schmalzy it just lost some of its credibility through the cheese. I'd call it a light beach read rather than a challenging/though provoking read which I had come to admire of Ms Torre.
I've got to be honest and say I really didn't like the portrayal of Cole going off the rails when he finally discovered just how much his 'wife' had played him. He had my sympathy and his actions were understandable in the whole validation of his manhood type of thing. However, this did not mean I enjoyed witnessing it :(
Summer has grown up in one of those southern towns where appearance is everything, no matter what happens. Always on the outside being working class in a town full of millionaires hasn't been easy but when the whole town betrays you that takes on a whole new layer of hurt.
Although I will say I completely adored Summer, she is the most content person I think I have ever seen portrayed; her outlook affects others in a positive manner. It is only with Cole that her sass really takes a shape all of its own. It's hilarious to witness. The theme of identity really stands out with Summer, showing that it is perfectly fine to do the things you love like cooking for your family and planting your garden. All that is of importance is your own happiness. Do not diminish how important that is by giving into pressure from others.
Cole has to be the most romantic, squishy actor I have had the pleasure to imagine ;) He has so much to give, now his eyes have been opened and he is able to recognise something meaningful and true when it is in front of him. ♥
Hollywood Dirt is a terrific piece of sassy, swoon-worthy escapism.
