Product Description

Is this love or just a game?

Tori Rivera thinks Jamie McCade is rude, arrogant, and worst of all . . . the sexiest man she's ever laid eyes on. His reputation as a player is almost as legendary as his surfing skills. No matter how her body heats up when he's around, she's determined not to be another meaningless hookup.

Jamie McCade always gets what he wants. The sickest wave. The hottest women. And Tori, with her long legs and smart mouth, is definitely the hottest one. He knows Tori wants him - hell, most women do - but she won't admit it. After months of chasing and one unforgettable kiss, it's time for Jamie to raise the stakes.

Jamie promises that soon Tori won't just want him in her bed, she'll be begging for it - and he might be right. Somehow he's found the spot in her heart that makes her open up like never before. But with all she knows about his past, can she really trust what's happening between them? Is Jamie playing for keeps or just playing to win?

Well if I knew in January I had to wait for this book I would have. And it would be worth it.
I just hardcore loved the way Jamie speaks. He's alpha and cocky in the most endearing way. His obsessive and unrelenting perusal of Legs was impressive and so sweet. This was a slow burn with embers on the edge. I felt the anticipation in the mating dance they performed with their banter. The back and forth dialogue was clever and entertaining and I could not get enough of it.
I loved everything about this book except that it ended
The author had my mind entranced and engaged the whole way through.
This is a no fail 100% success guaranteed read

After meeting Jamie and Legs (Tori) in Four Letter Word I knew their book would be a five star winner. Not only are they both stubborn but the things they do are hilarious. I could give you a run down on the book but I am not going to as I want everything to be a surprise when you read this book. Tori has a damaged heart (emotionally speaking) and doesn't like to give the truth and Jamie is one determined guy when it comes to Legs. This book gives you laughs, tears, hugs and some really steamy scenes. Like all books written by J. Daniels this is a winner. Can't wait to see who comes next in this series.

I loved everything about this book. I was already intrigued by Tori and Jamie's story from book one.
Their story surpassed all expectations. Beautifully written with witty dialogue, seriously hot sex scenes and enough tears and laughs to round everything out. Although it is a stand alone I recommend you check out book one & meet their best friends - you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to Book 3 soon

After reading Four Letter Word by J. Daniels, I was so looking forward to Hit the Spot, which tells the story of Tori, aka Legs, and Jamie, aka Loser. Both are respectively best friends of the two main characters from the first book in the series, but like any good interrelated standalone, you don't need to read that story to make sense of this one.

There's no denying the sexual tension between these two characters, and if it were simply about physical attraction, there'd be public indecency happening right on page one, but Tori has her reasons for holding back, and for thinking he's a Loser.

When they first met, he tried to pick her up, which isn't exactly a douche move, but when he didn't bat an eye after she pointed out that she was already in a relationship (one that has since ended in spectacular fashion) and still wanted her to hook up with him? That really hit a nerve. Since then, almost like clockwork, he's been showing up at the diner where she works, deliberately sitting in her section, and hitting on her whenever the opportunity arises and she's been steadfastly reminding herself that his good looks and cocksure attitude don't make up in the slightest for him being an overly arrogant, obnoxious, Loser.

Even though this book is written from dual points of view, both Jamie's and Tori's, I have to say that I was with Tori the whole way through. Yes, Jamie has his redeeming qualities, quite a lot of them really, when you get to thinking about it, but I really struggled to like HIM, as in the whole kit and kaboole that is Jamie McCade.

The book on the other hand? The book I loved, every page, every rant, every rave, even every moment I couldn't bring myself to like Jamie even when he was being likable ... right up until I did (I won't tell you if Tori liked him more, because that would be telling)

The perfect synthesis of everything that makes an enemies to lovers romance special.

Jamie is a famous surfer. He's cocky and he's used to getting what he wants. If he doesn't get whatever he desires straight away he will keep working for it until he does. Tori is a waitress at a restaurant and Jamie regularly eats there. He's determined to make her like him, but Tori knows he's a player and even though her stomach flutters when she's near him she doesn't listen to his pleas and keeps telling him no. Jamie calls her 'Legs', because he loves her long legs, but that isn't the only thing he likes about Tori. Will he eventually be able to convince her to give him a chance and what will happen if she does, will she indeed be the flavor of the month or are Jamie's intentions more serious this time?

Jamie is something else. There's no other main character like him. He's crude and swears a lot. He's also honest and isn't afraid to tell people how he feels. As he's a really sweet guy this makes him endearing and incredibly funny. Whenever he started to talk I had to laugh, the dialogue is hilarious and he's adorable. He wants Tori and he's going to get her and I loved reading about his tactics to make her change her mind. Tori is sweet and sensible and she thinks hooking with Jamie will only lead to heartbreak, which is why she resists temptation. It's obvious from the start that they are great together, but she doesn't dare to risk being hurt again. She and Jamie are opposites in some ways, but they have a caring nature in common, which makes them perfect for each other. It was great to see their connection evolve.

Hit the Spot is an original story and I love being surprised. There are plenty of hot scenes and the physical aspect of the relationship is quite important.
