I've read a number of Adamina Young's books and I find that they are surprisingly really good or just passable. This series, the "deceptive hearts" with the first three focussed on the Sinclairs is a hit. This book in particular deals with Grace and we have already met her in the previous two.
Likeable characters, good dialogue and the villain was hard to spot in this one for those who like a challenge. Also at the price she offers her books, I will keep reading them and hopefully there will be more hits than misses.

CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS SINCLAIR SERIESReviewed in the United States on 8 August 2020
I thought the first two books were good, but this 3rd book brings the stories together with a bang. Moira's Hamilton Clan from book #2 needs a new Laird, who forms a peace treaty with four other clans, which is unheard of. The little Sinclair sister, Grace, is a spitfire and thinks she's a warrior who can get justice for her friend who was murdered. She succeeds and along the way saves the new Hamilton Laird, his brother, and her two brothers from an ambush by the clan who actually killed the Sinclair's parents.

An unlikely love match . . .an unexpected villian . . .a GREAT READ!Reviewed in the United States on 12 October 2020
Grace in our time would be called a tomboy. She would rather were pants than a dress, especially when she was training to fight, or shoot a bow, or swordplay. She is impulsive and does what she wants to. Her actions drive her two older, protective brothers crazy. Men love her feisty spirit, but would expect her to be an obedient wife. Any man who thought they could "tame" her is soon cut down by her words. When she sees her friend being murdered, she is nearly killed herself trying to intervene. And she won't rest until the killer is caught. Many dead ends are reached during the investigation The culprit comes as quite a surprise. And along the way she finds a man who loves her enough to accept her as she is.
Highlanders hellion brideReviewed in the United States on 25 July 2020
Of course these are wonderful characters but I was fascinated by the intricacies of the mystery regarding a murder which became several murders. I wonderful story of how men and women need to learn to live together and how to relate to each other complicated by falling in love

Unexplained murders and love rock their livesReviewed in the United States on 28 June 2020
What a great story with several twists and turns! Determined not to marry Grace finds out she has been brought by her brothers to a meeting of clans to meet available men. Grace has a reputation for getting into “trouble” or unladylike behavior. It would take falling in love for a man to catch her! Laird Hamish Sinclair is her man! Unexplained murders and attempts on Graces life make this an exciting read.
