Product Description

Ashlyn Murphy was not living the dream. Twenty-seven years old, college educated, up to her eyeballs in debt and yet she’d been relegated to pouring beers at a local bar. She desperately needed an out and was willing to do anything to get back into the corporate world. Well, almost anything. Dan Evans, Rock Star was NOT one of those things. In fact she despised him. Apparently he didn’t get the memo.

Dan Evans, bass player of international rock band Power Station had it all. He was rich, travelled the world, played to millions of adoring fans and had no shortage of beautiful women willing to share his bed. He didn’t need a moody redheaded knockout with a superiority complex complicating his life. Or did he?

When two people who couldn’t be more opposite cross paths, it’s bound to be explosive; sometimes all you can do is sit back and enjoy the show.

Book one of the Power Station series.

OMG, i loved Dan in the Lexi series but in High Strung I think I fell in love with him even more. I love how he tells you how it is, he literally has no filter between his brain and mouth. I love Ashlyn too, she is exactly what Dan needs and their relationship is unconventional but it totally works
T really has a way with words, I literally could not put this book down. I was hooked from the first page and I didn't want it to end.

HIGH STRUNG (POWER STATION #1) – T GEPHART
High Strung I found to be a funny touching romance. Poor Dan Evans bad boy rocker from the band Power Station falls for goodie goodie Ashlyn, the only one to every say no to him. Ashlyn and Dan run into one another a couple of times and Dan shows he has a sensitive and that he can be caring. They start to spend time together and against their better judgment they fall in love.
Things do not run smooth for our lovers as chuckle worthy as the interaction between the two is at one point in the story I did start to tear up. Hats off to T. Gephart I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
I would be more than happy to recommend this to any reader over 18. A lovely romance series.
After receiving this Arc for an honest review I can honestly say I was not disappointed

Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I love rock romances like no other, so that means the bar is set pretty high before I even go into a new book and I’m happy to report this ticked all my boxes!
Dan Evans is a confident man. He likes to talk … a lot. It’s mostly highly inappropriate conversation but there’s no stopping the nattering. Originally after his first meeting with Ashlyn, I was thinking ‘oh god – don’t let him have most of this story! So annoying!’ so naturally Ashlyn had my sympathies.
Dan is a beautifully written douche, confident arrogant ego that’s never come across an attitude like Ashlyn’s. He’s certainly met his match and no wonder they get under each other’s skin. Within minutes of starting the book, I was on Ashlyn’s side. She didn’t play the victim, she was doing the best she could given the situation. I love her strength, her sass and that she has morals.
The blossoming romance was written beautifully. It was sweet, sexy and had just the right amount of naughty. The perfect amount of angst, drama, conflict, romance, tender moments and the character growth. With that character growth, Dan just had to meet the right person that unlocked that part of his heart and allowed him to feel he was worthy. This is definitely a step up , he’s not settling. Like I said, ticks all the boxes in my world.
I was killing myself laughing about the purse scene. Hilarious and wonderfully written! But the giggles are sprinkled liberally throughout the story and it certainly packs a punch in the feels.
Every single character that appeared in this book added to the story. Really liked Megs and she had me in stitches. I love her honesty and that she was team Dan the whole way. I’m super excited to read her story in Crash Ride and learn more about Troy Harris. Yes, you must always say his name in full.

Wow. This book was chock full of angsty female role. Ashlyn has grown up in a family of 9 and her parents own and ran an Irish bar. She grew up with guys grabbing her ass when she served them and she didn't want her life to end up working in a bar. So she put her head down and went to college and graduated with a Major in Commerce. Shooting off to New York to live the dream on Wall Street was ok till GFC hit. Then she was back to Bar work again. But rent in New York ( Even the scummy areas ) was still expensive. So this leads us to her job interview in a Public Relations agency ran by Lexi Reed. One of the bands she managed was Power House. Step in the bass player Dan Evans. Mr sex on legs and was proud to show off too.

So what does a angsty little thing like Ashlyn feel could ever happen between her and megastar Dan Evans???

Better read it to find out.
I was laughing so hard through this book and of course a few tears. I would recommend it to any book lover who loves the Bad Boy Rocker.....
