3.0 out of 5 starsHidden Objects with VARIETY and Minigames - Sadly, ANNOYING features ruin it for me!

The Hidden Object searches are OK with varying styles and the Mini-games are a nice addition. Graphics are very nice. Music and sounds are good and Controls work well. The Zoom feature is very helpful too. The HINTS are great if you get stuck. Design is basically similar to other apps except for addition of mini-games to relieve the repetitive nature of searching for objects. Potentially an awesome game but several annoyances and quirks have ruined the fun for me. I find the following objectionable to a point that I will delete this game now:
1) Some pictures are slightly HAZY and too much hiding of Dark items in Dark areas of screen. Not as good as professional H.O. games. 2) TIMER takes much of the fun out of most of the levels. Should have an untimed option for entire game to make it more user friendly. 3) Plays with WiFi off for a while but FREEZES and Locks up my Xoom Tablet unless I leave WiFi on all the time. Not acceptable behavior! 4) Pop-up Ads for other games from the developer are annoying interruptions that are too intrusive in a Paid app.
They deserve credit for a basically good design but needs to be made more USER FRIENDLY, Non-intrusive and playable in AIRPLANE MODE!
3.0 out of 5 starsMixture of different kinds of puzzles

It's OK but I didn't really like it. There are a lot of levels but I think there are only 5 screens, maybe 6 so it gets old fast. The variety comes from the clues, sometimes you get a picture sometimes a word or an anagram or a negative image or shadow. There are also memory puzzles and a stupid match 3 bonus section which I hated. The match 3 is slow moving, I hate it, I want to get past it so I can back to the hidden object part. There are 2 versions to play and they are both slightly different although they use the same rooms one is a story version and OMG it takes so long to get through because of the stupid story boards between levels, so annoying. The other version is labeled an Arcade version which is almost the same as the story version without the story the only difference is the match 3 game has different goals, in the story version you have to bring down a diary page to the bottom of the screen to level up and in the arcade version you have to collect 30 hats, 40 light bulbs and 25 flashlights or some combination like that.
I hated the anagram section, it's not too difficult but I didn't like it at all, it's not something I want in a hidden object game. The memory screen were OK but as you level up they pop up way too often. If I wanted a memory game I'd buy a memory game. I didn't really care for this game.
If you like a combination of different kinds of puzzles with a basic theme of hidden objects you will probably love this game. If you play both versions and all the levels it will not be over in an afternoon.
2.0 out of 5 starsWhat really became tiresome is the main character continually pitching her other games

This is an "okay" HO game, albeit short and repetitive. Could do with the 7 or 8 dialogue click-throughs between each game. What really became tiresome is the main character continually pitching her other games. Funny maybe once, but after the forth time in a playing session, I could do without it. The diary pages that you collect as a result of the match 3 games are a nice element, but add little interest to the "story." Could had used a little more exploring the house to match the storyline, rather than repeating backgrounds with a reshuffling of the objects. Nice graphics, and the zoom feature is nice. The hints (rather suggestions) if you can't find an object are somewhat insulting, implying that if you are a child, you can play in an easier mode. Perhaps I just couldn't select the object which happens to be located right under the menu button! Sometimes you will also need to press the object a couple times for it to pick it, rather than displaying you should be more careful so you don't break something. Good hunting for a short time. You'll probably finish this in a couple hours.
I have enjoyed the home makeover games so much over years! So after playing HM3 several times, I was excited to see the new version. Couple of things bug me. One, I prefer relaxed mode when I am playing before bed, but it seems to be missing. Two, I don't see any opportunity to make over anything! Just searching, not rebuilding. Three, this seems a lot darker than previous versions.
Mostly, I miss relaxed mode. Please bring it to this version!
3.0 out of 5 starsThe art work is very nice, the scenes interesting

Never having played a hidden object game, I have nothing to compare this to. The art work is very nice, the scenes interesting. My problem with this game is two-fold. First, many of the objects are difficult to see on a small screen because they are small objects to begin with, such as a battery or a faucet. Secondly, some objects simply cannot be seen at all because they are dark and concealed in dark areas of a scene. This second problem I consider a "cheap shot" and not worthy of good game creators. All in all, I have not enjoyed this game.
