For the first time ever in one collection…the entire Anna Brookes saga.
Revised July 2014

Follow Anna as she evolves from a fifteen-year-old with a special talent to the world’s deadliest assassin, 15. The brand-new finale to the series, HiT to Live, is included in this specially-priced boxed set.

HiT 149
Anna Brookes is not your typical teenager. Her walls are not adorned with posters of boy bands or movie stars. Instead posters from Glock, Ruger, and Smith & Wesson grace her bedroom. Anna’s mother abandoned her at birth, and her father, St. Cloud Police Chief Henry Brookes, taught her how to shoot and coached her to excellence. On Anna’s fifteenth birthday, unwelcome guests join the celebration, and Anna’s world is never the same. You’ll meet the world’s top assassin, 15, and follow her as she discovers the one hit she’s not sure she can complete – Ben Pearson, the current St. Cloud Police Chief and a man with whom Anna has explosive sexual chemistry. Enter a world of intrigue, power, and treachery as Anna takes on old and new enemies, while falling in love with the one man with whom she can’t have a relationship.

Anna Brookes in Training
Find out what happened to transform the fifteen-year-old Anna Brookes, the Girl with the Golden Aim, into the deadly assassin 15. After her father is killed and her home destroyed, orphan Anna Brookes finds herself homeless in Gulf Breeze, Florida. After she saves Lukas from a deadly attack, he takes her in and begins to train her in the assassin’s craft. Learn how Lukas’s unconventional training hones Anna’s innate skills until she is as deadly as her mentor.

HiT for Freedom
Anna has decided to break off her steamy affair with Ben Pearson and leave St. Cloud, when she suspects a new threat to him. Katsu Vang is rich, powerful, and very interested in Anna. He’s also evil to his core. Join Anna as she plays a dangerous game, getting closer to Katsu to discover his real purpose, while trying to keep Ben safe. Secrets are exposed and the future Anna hoped for is snatched from her grasp. Forcefully addicted to heroin and sold as a sex slave, Anna is sent far away. Will Ben be able to save her?

HiT to Live
In the conclusion to the Anna Brookes saga, Ben and his sister Emily rescue Anna from a brothel in Sydney, Australia. For Anna and Ben, it’s time to settle scores…and a time for the truth between them. From Sydney to the Philippines and back to the States, they take care of business. But a helpful stranger enters Anna’s life, revealing more secrets…and a plan that Anna wants no part of. Can Anna and Ben shed their old lives and start a new one together, or will Anna’s new-found family ruin their chances at a happily-ever-after?

Wow. Just … wow. This boxset left me unsure and wanting more. I had no idea what twists and turns Anna was going to take me on and I loved it! If you are looking for a meek, male-dependant lead – this is SO not your book.
Anna Brookes is the best of the best when it comes to guns. So much so, she is approached by recruiters, or so her father believes. Anna also has a talent, a six sense if you like, about bad people. The unthinkable happens and her life is never the same. She spends her young life on the run. I didn’t learn too much about Anna’s transformation in 15 until book two but don’t let that turn you off. All in good time.
I really liked the underlying tones of this book are simmering away. A woman who has been so closed off to anything emotional, is now in a very confusing and confronting situation. She has feelings for the man she’s meant to kill. She’s never really had time to process what’s happened to her and I was waiting for it to all come crashing down.
The tension between her and Ben is electric and cannot be ignored. He does come on strong and even a little weak in some parts. In saying that, he’s doing his part and I couldn’t help but giggle at the comment about her not looking at the dead bodies.
Book two gave me all the information I needed about how Anna became 15. Lordy – I should know to expect it – Margaret’s writing takes me on a journey of wonderment. I didn’t know what was going to happen through the next two books and what a journey it was. I was on the edge of my seat, reading over the pages as the story consumed me. Many a time I was holding my breath, holding down my lunch and cheering Anna on. Several times I was left gasping with my mind blown.
Book three – oh lordy. What a woman.

The Hit series - Anna's Journey - Margaret McHeyzer

This is my first Margaret McHeyzer book but...WOW what a book it was.

Anna Brooks is my new anti-heroine. Step back Wonder Woman, Batgirl and Supergirl, 15 is the new power woman.

A story woven so brilliantly, I was compelled to read every word, anytime I had a spare second. Margaret McHeyzer has taken the story of 15 year old Anna Brooks, who lost her step dad under horrific circumstances and catapulted her into a world so twisted and dark, you can't see how there would be any light in Anna's life.

Until a certain police officer, Ben Pearson persistently chases Anna and she succumbs to an infectious love that overtakes her dark background. Maybe Ben is the light she needs.

I'm being completely vague in my review because I could not and would not attempt to disclose imperative facts about this story but I will say that with the addition of a cast of supporting characters as diverse as Margaret has added, this story goes from fabulous to chillingly amazing in the blink of an eye.

I would highly recommend this complete series to lovers of thrillers, romance, erotica as well as forensic genre books. Margaret McHeyzer, you have won me over and I now consider myself a total McHeyzer and Anna Brooks Fangirl.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like that we got to see her grow and change 4 October 2014

There is nothing greater than a strong leading lady. Anna aka 15 is definitely a strong character. I like that we got to see her grow and change. From a scared kid to the deadly woman and a whole lot more. I would definitely recommend this book to friends. Though, if you aren't a fan of violence or torture, this book isn't for you. BUT, I loved it. I really enjoy seeing strong women characters with many facets to their lives. Women can be strong and independent, yet soft and feminine and STILL kick ass. What a great story.

Wow!!! I'm not one for a lot of violence but this series was awesome. There is a lot of graphic violence, but it works. Anna takes journey through life that is not really believable. Yet Margaret McHeyzer did a great job of making you believe. She also does a very good job of writing very different points of view. Hit 149 grabs you from the start and does not let you go till Hit to Live. The story is action packed. There were a couple of chapters that made me squirm. Among all the violence there is also a love story between Anna and Ben. It was a fun series. Margaret McHeyzer also gave you to endings I thought that was very cool. I liked both endings, but my favorite was the first ending. If you have a problem with violence then this series is not for you. I recommend this to anyone else for a fun ride through the life of an assassin and how she got to where she is. I loved it!
5.0 out of 5 stars wow 16 March 2015

Ok, this is the first time I have ever read work of this author and to say the least, I am very impressed with what I have read. The "hit" series is nothing like anything I have read before. That being is that the main character "Anna" is an assassin, that she is not only very good at her job, but she is pretty much the "alpha" in this series. I have always read books with a strong female with a guy always being the one up from her, but this series puts that into a spin. There are a lot of "dark" moments in this series, but that did not detour me and I think this is because of they way it was written and presented to the reader. I have again frigging loved the second ending! So I would recommend this series to anyone who has the time to read the lot in one go, because it is very hard to put down once your start! Well done Margaret!

I love female assassins and this one was no exception. I loved her back story and how she came to be who she was. I love how after all of the stuff she went through, she still was lovable on the inside. Ben, her love interest, is awesome and a stand up guy. A definite must read.
