Seems to be waterproof, yet to be be fully tested in this regard.

I modified how they were laced--skipping the fourth loop from the bottom, however time will tell when the next loop comes off. Eventually, enough loops will be missing to make the boot of no use; making it a complete waste on hard earned money.
In summary, due to a design flaw, I find the Hi Tec V-Lite Wild-fire a worthless piece of garbage. Rather than trusting this boot for summer adventures, I'll restrict the use to neighborhood walks during the winter and shoveling my driveway. NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND :/
