Product Description

Everyone knows there is no “I” in team, but to Macs Newstead--orgasm-gifting, muscle-filled Navy SEAL hero--there are more important words than team. Words like victory and vanity and selfishness. People say those words like they are a bad thing, but to Macs, they’re simply tools in his highly effective arsenal. When a man’s entire existence revolves around the necessity to end lives, silly, mundane things like second dates or monogamy seem worthy sacrifices.

Downward facing dog or doggy-style--it’s all the same to Teala Smart, a whip-smart yoga instructor. She owns her studio like she owns her life--with focus, positive energy, and pure devotion. That devotion, however, does not trickle into her love life (or more accurately, her lust life.) Relationships are a roadblock to her success. They get in the way and tangle up emotions more than the lotus pose tangles up limbs. Men are best kept just for a night and then released into the wild before feelings get too messy.

HERO HAIR, the second novel of International Bestselling Author Rachel Robinson’s THE REAL SEAL SERIES, is the account of an life-altering journey detailing the awakening of two hollow hearts, both set on taking their own pleasures without any emotional attachment. The ruthless SEAL finally meets an enemy he can’t defeat, and both Macs and Teala find, against their wishes, and despite atrocious circumstances, a chemistry so explosive it leaves nothing but deconstructing love in its wake. *Due to sexual content and language, this STANDALONE novel is suited for readers 18+*

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sexy, Fun Romp 17 March 2017

The romance genre seems to be 99% formulaic and stereotypical. It's always the shy, nerdy girl falling for the big, alpha man, and after the slow seduction, explosive relationship, and then huge climactic fight, they ride off into the sunset.

The reason why I love Rachel's books is that they are never formulaic. Teala is a ballsy, confident woman who gets what she wants, and her personality clash with the narcissistic Macs was fun to read. She's not a woman who needs to be validated or accepted by a man, and their slow-developed love story was a satisfying ride.

The other reason Rachel's books rock my world is not only how realistic her male characters speak and behave, but also how confidently she paints the world of Navy SEALs.

Pick this up--you won't be disappointed. Also for fun, try to spot all the sloth mentions in the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read 28 March 2017

Teala and Macs' relationship was like watching a graceful train wreck. They may have started out lighthearted, but emotional hurdles, the raw exposure of falling in love, and a harsh reality, bring these two to a precipice they discover they're ill-equipped to handle..leaving a very messy aftermath.

Hero Hair turned out to be a unique read! I wouldn't call this a fluffy romance, although there's many laugh out loud moments, it's more like..tough love. Teala and Macs had more individual depth than I was expecting and I was impressed by their individual growth throughout the story. And their chemistry..where there's smoke, there's always fire!

All I can say is their journey was a wild ride but the ending was absolutely worth it!
5.0 out of 5 stars $0.22 bet turned into forever 27 April 2017

No cliffhanger
Standalone though book 2 in a larger series
Told from both POVs
Minor editing issues

I was very excited for this book because of the last one. The last book was gut wrenchingly beautiful so my hopes were high. This book didn't disappoint. While on the lighter side of drama compared to the first book I found myself laughing more at the banter between the two characters.

Teals and Macs are basically mirror images of each other. Both are competitive. Both are very healthy people. Both are completely obsessed with doing the deed. And neither of them is looking for a relationship.

They meet via a mutual friend and under normal circumstances they would have ripped each other clothes off and never seen each other again... but this is where being competitive and a simple bet get in the way.

The book mainly focuses on how 2 people who only think about one thing can wait until the 5th date to do the deed.

Towards the end of the book life gets a little too real for them both and they are torn apart. The question is...will a $0.22 bet be what brings them back together...forever.

Great book. Love this author! Hope there are more to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars All of this happens while you begin to like them more and more 16 March 2017

Although this book is considered the second in a series, it is written as such that you could read it independently and still understand everything that is happening in the book. The story of this book is everything you want it to be. Teala and Max are strong characters to begin with but as the story begins to unfold you get to see the inner workings of their mind and why they have become the people who they are. All of this happens while you begin to like them more and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars catchy and easy to read 31 March 2017

I read all of Rachel Robinson's books. The writing is quick witted, catchy and easy to read. I finished this particular book in 2 sittings. I always fall in love with Rachel's characters. I all at once wanted to hate Macs (the main character) but also secretly wished I had a Macs in my life too. Her female characters are all so likable, and this heroine didn't disappoint. The love story is gorgeous. A modern, complicated scenario punctuated with some steamy scenes. I read this while my husband was deployed and should have waited until he was home ;) I am anxiously awaiting the next SEAL novel!
