Product Description

Money doesn’t matter when what you want is revenge.

Self-made millionaire and family black sheep Tucker McCormack has one goal—payback. He’s planning a hostile takeover of the McCormack empire, but his latest roadblock is too beautiful to resist…and she’s his brother’s ex.

Headstrong antiquities expert Belladonna Dupre has put every asset she has on the line to recover her family’s fortunes from a shipwreck in the Gulf of Mexico, but she needs a dive salvage operator to make it happen. Enter Tucker McCormack. He’s smart, good with his hands, and sexy as hell in a dive suit, but he demands joint credit for the discovery as a condition to work with her.

Bella won’t be bullied into giving up what’s rightly hers. Tuck won’t take no for an answer. It’s a battle on the high seas, where sparks fly, attraction smolders, and anything can happen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read! This one has a fascinating setting 8 December 2015

Excellent read! This one has a fascinating setting, interesting characters that are both driven for very different reasons, and attraction and chemistry that sizzles from the pages.

Tucker McCormack is looking for recognition and revenge against the biological family who has never acknowledged him the way he feels he deserves. Bella Dupre needs this salvage expedition to save her family and all they've worked for. She has the knowledge and expertise but she's not sure trusting the headstrong Tucker is wise. Will accepting and trusting him be her salvation or her downfall??

I definitely recommend this one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! 14 December 2015

I enjoyed this book very much. Theresa Meyers creates characters you can identify and sympathize with. This romantic tale of Belladonna Dupre, a woman who is afraid to trust, and Tucker McCormack, a man who is afraid to love, takes place in New Orleans and on the high seas, where the two take part in a modern day treasure hunt vitally important to both of them for different reasons. Although the two clash at first, sparks between them ignite into sizzling romantic encounters, and gradually what they both thought would be a temporary fling begins to grow into something much more tender. When their growing love is derailed by the stubbornness and pride, only an unselfish sacrifice can bring them back together. I have not read the rest of the Men of the Zodiac series, but if the rest of the books are as good as this one, I am interested in going back and catching up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love on the Ocean 7 December 2015
By Ash P Reads - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
The concluding story of this series finally catches us up with the mysterious tattoo artist that plays a crucial role in this series. And of course we would have to find her in Mystery Central - New Orleans.
Bella Dupre is struggling to keep herself and her aunt's business afloat while trying to pay off the huge debt left behind by her family’s curse. Her dream to salvage her ancestor's ship and recover its treasures can solve all her problems. When the dream becomes a reality, complications arise with the head of the salvage team, Tucker McCormack. She has already suffered at the hands of the McCormacks, in fact, they are one of the reasons she is in over her head in debt. But Tucker has his own bone to pick with the McCormacks. So warily, she moves forward with her plans, but the attraction between them is hard to resist in spite of the "no fraternizing" rule on the salvage ship. The stars have much more than they expected in store for their futures, but which of them is willing enough to let go of the past in order the make all their dreams come true.
A sweet, adventurous and steamy novel about letting go of your preconceived notions and embracing the opportunities staring you right in the face.

3.0 out of 5 stars Loved the heroine 8 December 2015

This one had a great start, but somewhere around the end, I wanted to literally kill Tucker.

I loved Bella, she was a great girl. Not only following her passion but also being loyal to her family and their legacy. Loved her.

As for Tucker, he didn’t start bad, but it was after the expedition was over that I wanted to punch him really bad. The guy behaved horribly and I couldn’t believe he did what he did to the one thing she was looking for in the expedition. I honestly can say I wouldn’t be able to forgive someone so disrespectful.

I liked Bella’s ending of the story, exactly what she deserved all along. Tucker? Not so much, lol.

This one was the last book in the ‘Men of Zodiac’ (at least for this year). I loved some and others, not so much, but overall it was a fun series. Not sure if they have something planned for next year, maybe something girl centered? (calendar girls or something? lol), but I’ll be on the look out if they do have something. :-)

*Thank you to Entangled Publishing for providing an ARC in exchange of my honest opinion*
3.0 out of 5 stars The concluding story in the Men of the Zodiac series 21 December 2015
By Marsha @ Keeper Bookshelf - Published on

Her Sworn Enemy wraps up the Men of the Zodiac series. Overall I enjoyed this series, of course there were some stories that I liked better than others – that’s normal in any series. Her Sworn Enemy was one that I liked. I didn’t love it, certainty didn’t hate it. But I was left with the something was missing feeling on this concluding story so yeah, I liked it.

Tuck’s over riding need for revenge was perhaps justified – but some of the things he did to Bella weren’t – in my opinion. And unfortunately, once a character has crossed that imaginary line of mine, it is difficult for me to see them in a better light. I wish that weren’t true, but…

Bella is such a strong character and she’s been through and survived so much. To see her repeatedly back down from Tucker was… disheartening for me.

Other aspects of the story were extremely entertaining. The dive, the discoveries and even the passion between the main characters were good. I simply wish I could have connected with them, even liked them enough to more than… like this story.

I’ve said it before and I stand by my belief that every single reader will take something totally different away from every story they read. So much is individual in reading, it has to be because a story either touches you or it doesn’t. When I say I liked a story I mean just that – it was a good story, one that I’m glad I read but not one that I’ll turn to again. It was good for the time that I read it. That’s not bad. I didn’t connect with the characters – and that is on me, not the author. I tend to take novels for what they are and how the author delivered them to me – it’s their story not mine to change around.

I believe there are many people who would love Her Sworn Enemy. So please, make your own decision on this (or any book). Take a risk and pick this one up and discover this story and these characters for yourself. You may find the perfect gem of a story, and I hope you do, honestly.

*I received an e-ARC of Her Sworn Enemy from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
