Product Description

Welcome to the pit where the danger is never ending, the sea monsters are multiplying, and Lucifer is playing with hearts.

Big deal, so he kept losing the oar. It wasn't Adexios fault the Styx monsters were working against him, but tell that to his dad. Charon is determined to make a man out of him--whether his mother likes it or not--and Lucifer has offered to help. Help means sending Adexios in to the wilds of Hell with an Amazon warrior as his companion.

The savage fighter doesn't know what to think of her geeky partner. Adexios attracts Valaska with his brains instead of brawn. He also shows a cunning courage she can't help but respect.

They'll need all the skills they can muster, though, if they're going to prevail against the newest threat to Hell. With the wilds submerged by seawater, and monsters hungry for flesh, they'll have to fight to stay alive, and learn opposites not only attract, they explode. (With passion, not guts, in case that wasn't clear.)

Another good addition to the series with Adexios the gorgeous geek and Valaska the Amazon warrior. This one probably didn't have as many laugh out loud moments for me as some of the other books but it did have plenty of action and adventure which was great.
Adexios certainly wasn't like the previous beefcake minions from Hell, he was tall and lean and not big and brawny, though his intelligence and quick wit came across as attractive. He didn't shy away from adventure and certainly held his man-card when it came to the intimate parts.
Valaska certainly has all the proud Amazon qualities with her battle ready body and skills, it was nice that she was such a strong lead female. Great to see that she valued all of Adexios qualities and found him attractive, even though he wasn't her usual type. They made a great couple.
Again Lucifer had his moments in the spot light and shone as usual with his quirky ways. The ending definitely was a set up for the next in the series and I cant wait to see who the Devil hits with his match making stick. An overall 4 star read.

"The tentacles that felt a need to taunt his more delicate manparts as he scissor-kicked behind the boat. After that last time, he’d thought his balls would never come out of hiding, and even remembering the slimy touch still made them shrink."

'Lucifer peered down at his bright red duckie slippers, sporting an ivory set of horns. “Dammit. I meant to change out of those before coming to this meeting.”'

"With an evil chuckle that he must have gotten high grades on in villain university"

Adexios is a ferryman, the son of Charon the original ferryman to be exact. And he has the worst luck, from his souls rebelling and taking over his ship to the sea monsters eating his oars and making him swim home. That is until Lucifer demands he enter the wilds and count the number of demons he has at his disposal in case of war. But Adexios is no warrior so to protect him Lucifer sends along Valaska, Amazon Warrior.

Eve has released another amazing, giggle-tactic book. Adexios is not the usual inhabitant of hell, he's not concerned with proving he's brave and strong. Nope, he's more than happy to let Valaska handle that side of things. Valaska is used to being around warriors, and while her head says weak men are not for her she can't help her attraction to Adexios. By their adventure into the wilds takes a sudden turn for the worse when it's flooded.

I giggled while reading this, which is quite dangerous when your eating and nearly choke. There is so much fun about this book. Adexios and Valaska have this awesome dynamic, the traditional roles have been slightly reversed. And while Adexios isn't one to just sit back and let Valaska eke out all the badass-ery he knows she's far superior and is happy to just lend a helping hand occasionally.

Lucifer is up to his match making tricks again. This time it is Adexios (Charon's son) and Valaska (an amazon warrior) he has in his sights. Along the way they fight an unseen enemy of Lucifers and Captain Nemo.
Adexios and Valaska were both really great and I liked them both very much. This was a fun story with lots of silliness and of course Lucifer being himself.
Loved the conversation at the end with Adexios’ mother.
Another giggle fest whilst I read this book from Ms Langlais.
Big twist at the end with who Lucifers enemy turns out to be. Book 6 looks to be going in a slightly different direction and away from Lucifers match making madness. I hope this is just a short change of direction as I have loved these stories and Lucifers antics.

Adexios just can’t live up to his dad’s reputation and he’s got bigger dreams that ferrying damned souls but his problems just got bigger because Lucifer’s determined to pair this geek up with a violent Amazon warrior in this high intensity paranormal romance. I love Eve Langlais’books, but I must confess that this is the first one that I have read in this series and I really will have to remedy that because Eve has included a mix of unusual, sexy and fun characters in an unexpectedly energetic, crazy as all get out story that I couldn’t put down and I can’t wait to find out what happens next, especially since Ursula pulled a whammy of a trick on Lucifer.

With Lucifer’s medaling and Charon determined to man up his son, Adexios get’s sent on a mission with an Amazon warrior named Valaska. But the mission they are told about and the true one Lucifer only know about changes everything. It’s a good thing that Adexios is more resourceful then he seems. And Valaska hides the fact that she has an inner geek in herself but could never admit this to her fellow worries. It gets really dicey for the two of them and nothing is without humor in this book. It’s fun to watch the growing attraction all the while they battle the unknown entity that’s causing havoc in hell. Fun, entertaining with lots of humor and sexual undertones in this well written self-contained story. Highly recommend this book.
