A little disappointing

This story reminded me a little of the wolf pack from Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight but there the similarities ended. There was lots of drama and the storyline held such promise but overall I was left feeling a little disappointed. The author gave tantalising glimpses of each character but I felt that they lacked a little depth. The storyline in my opinion needed some more detail as I felt when the action did hot up that it was just glossed over which left me questioning what had just happened. The enticing build up of sexual tension between Neveah and Dane also proved a bit of a let down as I felt that it lacked that steamy, smouldering passion and instead felt more like it was stumbling teenagers. Overall I did enjoy the read but I just wanted more from both the characters and the storyline.

A slightly different spin on the usual shifter story. Dane and Nevaeh are likeable characters with some touching interactions. The Angel twist was a nice touch and what follows is quite a sweet second chance love story.

It is my first read by this author, and I liked her story.
The plot is slowly set, to give time to introduce the main characters and what they had to face to be here and there together.
Neveah and Dane are two very lovely persons, Neveah has to fully reconstruct her life with the bouts of her memories left, not easy when she is not sure of them.
Dane is a broken soul since he lost his true mate has a boy, since he survived his loss until this fated day when he discovered a wounded woman during a fight in the wood.
The story is narrated from different angles and protagonists point of views, bringing a whole vision of the storyline.
The mixing of shifters and angels is very entertaining, so I wonder about the next book in this series.
