About the Author
I have been lucky enough to live my own version of a romance novel. I married the guy who kissed me at summer camp. He told me on the night we met that he was going to marry me and be the father of my children. Eventually, I stopped giggling when he said it, and we just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. We have two children. The oldest is a Doctor of Osteopathy. He is across the United States completing his residency, but when he's done, he is going to come back to Oregon and practice Family Medicine. Our youngest son is now tackling middle school and hopes to design video games when he grows up. I write full time now. I have published two dozen books and have several more underway. I volunteer my time to a variety of causes. I have worked as a Civil Rights Attorney and diversity advocate. I spent several years working for various social service agencies before becoming an attorney. In my spare time, I love to cook, decorate cakes and of course, I obsessively, compulsively read. I would be honored if you would take a few moments out of your busy day to check out my website, MaryCrawfordAuthor.com. While you're there, you can sign up for my newsletter and get a free book. I will be announcing my upcoming books and giving sneak peeks as well as sponsoring giveaways and giving you information about other interesting events. SECOND CHANCES AT LOVE AND FAMILYReviewed in the United States on 3 November 2018
Stuart and Noah had dreams, he had final exams, and she went on a search rescue mission, not to return. As a veterinarian, he had never seen an animal so badly mistreated as what Darya a police detective brought in.In a hurry to get home and to her daughter, never having mentioned her, in all the years they have known each other. Coming to see the injured dog, they start talking about the love of their lives, and by a freak accident they were killed. Making the suggestion maybe they should date, to take the pressure off of them from their families. As Darya looks at him, and wonders when did he get so sexy. Friends, could it become more, she risks her life on a daily basis, could he handle that. Does he want to be an instant Dad. Good plot with romance, and mystery of who is injuring animals.

Not quite a 5Reviewed in the United States on 3 September 2018
I’d give this book a 4.5. It was a good story but I didn’t feel like I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I’m enjoying the books in this series, though. Would still very much recommend!

AwesomeReviewed in the United States on 8 March 2019
I recommend this book to everyone! Second chance romance on both sides with a slew of hiccups. You'll fall in love with three characters even those with 4 legs.
Awesome!Reviewed in the United States on 24 March 2019
This was a perfect balance of romance and suspense...throw in some 4-legged critters and they became the icing on top.

I enjoyed this story very much because of the characters and story line. I especially appreciate the decency of it. The characters were obviously being intimate but without explicit sexual descriptions. I applaud that aspect of your book.
