Product Description

3 weeks. 5 cities. 15 impossible stunts. One reality show.

Trevor Cross came into Reya Cabrera’s world with a bang and faded out with a whimper. They vowed to make it work, but life had other plans. After chasing his TV dreams for years, Trev finally became the UK’s next big reality star, but he alienated his family and friends in the process. Now he finally has everything he ever wanted. Women. Money. Fame. But none of it means anything when he doesn’t have the one thing that matters most: love.

Money leaves a gaping hole. Fame surrounds him with loneliness. And no woman makes him feel like Reya used to before the whirlwind of success pulled them apart.

He has a plan to get her back for good. However, with a hectic filming schedule looming, the only way to do that is to convince her to come on the road with him. Reya has been stuck in a rut for a while, and the opportunity to travel across Europe and play her music for new audiences seems like heaven. The only catch? She has to do it with the one boy who ever got close enough to break her heart. But he’s not a boy anymore, and as she gets to know him again she can’t deny her respect for the man he’s become.

Every time she’s around him her heart feels full of air, like a balloon about to pop. Little does she know, Trev’s feelings are just tumultuous as hers. One thing’s for sure, these three weeks on the road together will either make them whole again or break them irrevocably.

**Hearts on Air is a contemporary romance and book #6 in the Hearts series, however it can also be read as a complete standalone.**

I need you, Reya, just for tonight. Just give me tonight and then you can decide if you want to keep me.

My sister, Paula, used to say I had childbearing hips, but they were cake hips and we both knew it.

I’d thought saying I loved him would imprison me, but instead it set me free.

My Review:

I have only read two of the exceptionally entertaining books in this series and have savored them both. I have an overwhelming and greedy desire to collect and read every book this gifted author ever writes. Ms. Cosway’s skill is extraordinary and her unique stories take me to places and involve activities I would never consider partaking in, yet surprisingly enjoyed reading about. Her work is detailed, observantly insightful, amusing, engrossing, and plucks at the heartstrings. I enjoy her clever use of humor as much as I adore her complicated and flawed yet highly endearing characters. Added bonus, I have a new Brit vocabulary phrase to add to my list – keeping schtum – which means being silent, or, as we Americans would say – zip your lip.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great end to a great series <3 20 June 2017

I'll admit, when I first started this I was scared for a few reasons...

1. It's a second chance romance, a trope I'm extremely picky about.

2. The story revolves around a reality show. I hate reality TV, and although the few books I've read with this storyline have been 4-stars and I enjoyed them, I still get twitchy whenever I start one.

3. I'd been waiting for this book for TWO YEARS, so my expectations were pretty freaking high. And I've been let down a lot by sky high expectations before--something I think we can all relate to.

Individually, these aren't too bad. But all three together?!??? And yeah, I was panicky. Thankfully, I ended up really enjoying this!! And I don't know why I was worried because it's L.H. freaking Cosway. She's AWESOME and has written a couple of my all-time favorite novels, so I should've known she could pull it off.

So, like I said, I've been waiting for Trevor and Reya's story since we met them in Hearts of Blue. They're best friends, but she's secretly in love with him. After sharing one night together One Epic Night, she starts to believe it's finally their time. Unfortunately, circumstances have other plans. The next day Trevor receives a phone call that his reality television series has been given the green-light. It's the chance of a lifetime and despite his feelings for Reya, he takes it. They do try to make it work, but eventually life pulls them apart.

Normally I don't like time jumps, typically because I find them unnecessary. But their separation (of two years) felt warranted. Trevor needed to grow up and I felt he did that. He took her for granted. Part of it was his age, but another part was his ADHD. It almost sounds like a copout if you don't read the book. But ADHD *does* affect relationships and even though I only have minor personal experience with it, I thought Cosway did a good job of illustrating it. I don't believe his indifference came from a cruel place. He really just needed to grow up.

"He's been adamant about making a change. I've never seen him so determined. There's a new maturity to him."

"He didn't have time for the truth."

I think this is SPOT. ON. While in previous books I was mad about his dismissal of Reya, Cosway truly made me believe in their love. I felt his regret...

"Because you're the best friend I've ever had, and losing you is my biggest regret, the worst thing that ever happened to me."

"It pains me to think of how careless I was with you back then. If I hadn't been so messed up I swear I would've treated you like a princess."

And he I truly believed he had changed by the end..

"I'm not missing any more of your birthdays. Not a single one," he said, his tone adamant.

I LOVED Reya! Cosway writes some of the best heroines in my opinion, I always find myself relating to them. I think what I love the most is how down to earth she was. Yes, she had insecurities, but she wasn't ruled by them << THAT was awesome to see. But my heart still broke for her.

"Why couldn't I ever be the main priority in someone's life? Was it selfish to want to be number one to just one person?"

She was also really funny, which is another trait I love about Cosway's heroines.

"If somebody makes it so I can get away with wearing slippers outdoors, I’m all for that."

"I was curious. Okay, nosy was probably the more appropriate word."

"There's no stopping these slutty ovaries. All they seem to want to do is make babies."

There were times when some might label her a "doormat," but I never felt that way. I truly believe she loved him, but she was also young and didn't realize how much growing up he needed to do. Rather than being frustrated, I was impressed with how she held onto her love and waited for him.

"He smelled like home. He embraced me like love."

She didn't pine away or immediately forgive him, but she didn't deny her feelings either.

"I never had any other choice but to love you, did I?"

And she eventually came to see she deserved more.

"Trev was the boy you loved who never noticed you existed. I needed to love a boy who would make me his entire world."

My worries turned out to be unfounded. Overall this was a pretty successful second chance romance, for my picky tastes. The reality TV didn't play a huge, or annoying, part. And I wasn't let down after two years of waiting :)

There were only two things that kept it from being 5-stars.

1. One of my biggest pet peeves in a second chance romance is lack of communication, and extra unnecessary drama at the end. I was so happy that neither was the case here. Ironically though, the slow burn was a little too slow for me. The first (reunited) kiss didn't happen until pretty late in the novel. Now before you call me ridiculous and indecisive, both of which I am anyways, I want to point out that when Cosway writes her romances, she really focuses on the couple. So where other novels might have the couple meeting at 10% and have other random scenes interspersed, her characters are together in almost every scene. It's one of the reasons I love her writing, because sometimes I just want to focus on the couple. That being said, it meant I waited a really long time because any action happened between them. Like I mentioned, I LOVED the communication. But I still wanted them together a little sooner. Apparently I'm goldilocks when it comes to timing in a second chance romance. There's like a 5% window, and too much either way throws me off.

2. The lack of Trevor's perspective. I know all the books in this series are told in the heroine's POV, but I think I've just become spoiled by dual POV. I'm constantly craving both sides of the story. And since the story is told with only a few flashbacks, we would have primarily gotten a mature Trevor's POV, which is something I would've loved to read!

These are both personal preferences and in no way would keep me from recommending this book or series <3

4.0 out of 5 stars a lovely second chance romance, a beautiful ode to every character throughout this series 8 June 2017

Hearts on Air is a second chance friends to lovers to friends to lovers romance... I'd love to say there was an element of enemies in there somewhere, but Reya and Trev never hated each other. They just never seemed to be on the same page at the same time, but respected each other too much to be jerks about it. That in itself was frustrating as hell for me because if I were Reya, I'd want to throttle Trevor for the things he'd done. But instead of the angsty, predictable storyline I was anticipating, LH Cosway takes the reader on a thrilling adventure of the heart with Hearts on Air, a story that turned out to be nothing like I expected, and everything I didn't know I needed.

Peppered through at least one of the previous books in this series, we were given glimpses of the dynamic between Reya Cabrera and Trevor Cross. And from the novella, One Epic Night, through the morning after at the beginning of this book, we're again reminded of how easy it's been for Trevor to dote on his best friend when it suits him, only to drop her when something better comes along. Trevor has consistently taken Reya for granted, selfishly overlooking her feelings and her friendship, often leaving her (and me!) quietly heartbroken. So by chapter one in this book, I was well and truly PISSED OFF at Trevor Cross. I wanted to see Reya give him back exactly what he gave her. I wanted to see him learn, and grow, and GROVEL. I wanted to understand. LH Cosway is such a master at creating brilliant romances between unique characters that are rarely easy but always honest... and that was the case with Reya and Trev. It turns out what I needed was honesty and truth. And that was somehow much more satisfying and right for this couple than an angsty, tumultuous story would've been.

This story is a bit slow burning, a bit frustrating. It's a necessary journey toward understanding, toward acceptance, toward forgiveness and that journey can feel painstaking at times. But it also feels just right. Reya and Trev and their course, both in the past and in the present, is a journey that was both painful and incredibly satisfying. Sometimes wanting to see a character hurt, wanting to see him grovel, wanting to see him suffer for what he put another person through is not as satisfying as coming to understand him, as forgiving him. LH Cosway beautifully crafts a love story with Hearts on Air that was really eye opening for me. It truly gripped my heart and made me see the truth of this love story in a way I wasn't expecting. I wanted to be angry for Reya, for her heartbreak and her abandonment. I wanted Trev to get a dose of his own medicine, to hurt, and to feel unwanted. But the growth in this story is everything, the understanding these characters come to about each other and about themselves is exactly what I needed to feel.

This story is not only a lovely second chance romance, it's also a beautiful ode to every character that has fallen apart and fallen in love throughout this series. Cosway seamlessly weaves so many of her characters into this book, reminding her readers why they lost their HEARTS to this series in the first place. An illusionist, a circus act, a businessman, and a family of criminals were brought through the wringer in this series, but through love and forgiveness, they found their happily ever after with their soulmates. Each story is refreshing and absolutely nothing like the last book or the next, and Hearts on Air is no exception. This book is sweet and sexy and full of heart... and it makes me want to go all the way back to the beginning just to feel all the feels all over again.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great final book in the series 18 June 2017

4-4.5 stars. Trevor and Reya have been present throughout the series for a long time and now their story is here. It spans several years because they started out as friends who became best friends a long time ago. I was never really a fan of Trevor, though, he was too immature, spastic, spontaneous, and bounced off the walls with his high energy that it was hard to keep up with him and made my head dizzy. But Reya loved him anyways, even though she knew that Trevor was not the sort of boyfriend that could be kept in one place given his dynamic personality and constant need to be on the move. And in One Epic Night (which is also included in Hearts on Air), Trevor actually shows signs of not being as oblivious as I had thought. Moving on to Hearts on Air, which takes place 2 years later, I am pleased to discover that Trevor has really grown up in that time, he's a lot more mature and focused, and there's a reason behind all of that and how it departs from his previous behavior. Regardless, I could get behind this new version of Trevor and root for him finally. Patience has never been his forte, but I was impressed with just how much of it he exercised in this book.

As for Reya, she's always been this beautiful and musical soul, but I didn't know the details of her background. And once I discovered who she really was, I hoped more than ever that she could find the peace, love and happiness that she needed and deserved. Trevor is heavily involved in his reality show with his parkour activity along with a very interesting cast, too. Reya gets hired on as a PA for the show and from there, it's a new journey for both Trevor and Reya as far as rekindling their friendship and for Reya to rediscover herself. Because of the past and present scenes, there's a real contrast between the old Trevor and the current Trevor, and I liked seeing his walls come down finally. The story has the usual expected level of emotion, angst and build up that is consistent with the rest of the series to keep me invested in the storyline. And since this is the last book, it wouldn't be complete without having each character appear in some fashion. Needless to say, I pretty much forget about everyone else (no disrespect to them) when my favorite guy of them all, Jay Fields, comes onto the page with his lovable, larger than life personality. While this series may have come to a close, I'm hoping there's still occasional glimpses of them in LH Cosway's next series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lighthearted Romance 19 June 2017

This is the 6th book in the Hearts Series and I absolutely loved it.  I love this story almost as much as book 3 about King.

This book is about Reya, a struggling musician and best friend to Trev, a parkour junkie.  Reya is secretly in love with Trevor.  He barrels into her life and has her in the friend zone.  Then one day things change and Trev makes the move and swears that he isn't going anywhere.  Then he gets picked up for a tv show and fame takes over.  Then poor Reya is left behind.  Fast forward two years and Trev pops back into her life.  He convinces her to come on the road with his crew to work for three weeks.  Can Reya live life a little?  Can Trev prove to Reya that he is changed?

Trev and Reya's story is sweet.  Trev is dealing with a lot of issues and wants to try to fix himself so he can truly prove how much he loves Reya.  I have really enjoyed this series.  Unfortunately this is the last book of this series.  But the good news for fans is that L. H. Cosway is putting out a spin-off from this book.  She will be using the other characters from the parkour team.  I love the characters in this book.  Hell I loved all the characters in the whole series.  They are all wonderful people with really tough challenges in life.  They are strong and beautiful.  If you have not read any of this series, then I highly recommend reading them.  They are wonderful romance stories with a lot of heart and soul.   So go check them out.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Bittersweet Triumph! 20 June 2017

Reya Cabrera and Trevor Cross used to be something. It was bright, all-consuming and raced across the sky like a falling star.
And then they were nothing.

Now two years later, Reya is still living with the ghost of a love that never really was. Because it’s hard to heal her heart when there are reminders of him everywhere.

Trevor is now one of the most sought-after reality television stars out there. Despite all of the fame and all of the fortune, he still longs for the only real thing that he ever had – Reya.

His plan is simple. Convince her to be his PA, prove that he’s no longer the troubled boy who left her behind and win her love once again. But the hurt he caused may be too much and the pain too fresh for Reya to ever want to take a chance on him again.

Hearts on Air is a bittersweet triumph! In this final installment of her iconic Hearts series, L.H. Cosway holds your heart on the very edge between joy and pain. And she does it with such poetic mastery that you never want that feeling to end.

The conclusion of this book brings all of the Hearts characters together in an unforgettable scene that will remain with me for a long time to come.

Each of them shine like the rare gem that they are and each book in this series is a treasure you simply must experience for yourself…
