I started Heartless with the expectation of it being a college aged romance but that is not what the book is even though it does start off when the characters are in college. It is a fastpaced, whirlwind of attraction, confessions, miscommunication, fast declarations and some full on dramatic moments (that to me felt like they came out of leftfield). With all this going on it gave off a sense of wham bam thankyou ma'am, and it all happened so fast I didn't have enough time to actually build a connection with Della and Carter. I felt like we just skimmed the surface of who they were and issues were quickly and easily resolved. I would have like a bit more depth. It was easy to read and I was able to finish in one sitting, it provided light entertainment.
