Not the words I thought to describe this from the book description. However I bought this book not realising it was a 'teen novel'.
Teen novel or not I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I had to smile at the 'teenage strops' as they brought back memories of my daughters' teens (and made me thankful all that was passed though they could beat 'Princess' hands down). I could hardly put it down and read it in less than 4 nights. (I only read for a short time before bed each day). The ending was what would be called a 'cliffhanger'(but wasn't that drastic - not a 'who shot JR moment) and I thought something else was going to happen before it finished. It was enough to have me download the 2nd book Haunted 2: Save the Last Dance for Me though it started some time after the ending.
The book had good detail, laid out the characters and storyline well enough and while very light and extremely easy to read I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed them. I have been reading some very 'heavy' literature recently and it may have been that I was just ready for some light relief but I liked the writing style, content and the subject matter and if like me you were just ready for something a little bit different from what you normally read (and at £1.59 it's not breaking the bank if you don't take to them) I would certainly recommend it........Pity there wasn't a third book I did get to like the characters but perhaps a third book would have been one too many and 2 were enough (unless you are a teen perhaps???)
