If you know anything about ghosts, you know one of the most haunted places is inns. Since I live in the Southeast, I was interested in reading about some of the haunted inns in my area.
The author explores all regions of the Southeast. She includes inns from Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Louisiana. Some of the chapters are short, only including a few paragraphs. Others tend to be a bit longer at around 5 pages or so.
As the author explains at the beginning, some of the inns have more history than others or most employees are forbidden to talk about the ghosts. The author does a good job of talking about the history of the inns and the ghosts that roam the halls. I love how she also includes information about the inn's services in case readers want to visit one of the places.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and hope to visit a few of these inns.
