5.0 out of 5 stars If I could give this book 10 stars, I most definitely would. One of my favorites of 2015! 17 October 2015

I absolutely loved this book. Does it make sense to write a review for the 2nd book before the 1st? I'm not sure, but this book had a twist that I never saw coming! It is kind of refreshing to have the female character so flawed and damaged for a change. It is always the male that has baggage and issues, I was kind of surprised that this book was just the opposite.
Chase is the sweet, yet sexy and tough football player and Arianna is the angry and injured former tennis superstar, the daddy's girl, the Golden Girl of the media.
The things that she goes through in this book had me actually disliking her for most of the book, but it was so worth it in the end.
There is just enough angst in this book to suck you in and keep you reading all night long.
I absolutely have found a new favorite author in Isabelle Richards! I hope she keeps the hits coming.

1.0 out of 5 stars Exhausting toxic relationship 16 October 2015
By NLLesn - Published on

I'm honestly surprised this book hasn't received more bad reviews. It started out really good, but by the end I was emotionally and mentally exhausted. All the two main characters do is fight horribly with each other (sometimes physically), break up, and then get back together - the entire book! It was a never-ending cycle. It got to the point where I genuinely couldn't even understand why they were ever together in the first place. The author does not do a good job of highlighting the positive aspects of their relationship, or the love between them. They both repeatedly say throughout the book that the other one "gets me", which frankly, makes absolutely no sense. If someone truly "gets you", they understand you and your actions and what makes you tick, which means less arguments and misunderstandings. For every good interaction they had there were at least 20 fights or misunderstandings, coupled with a handful of explosive breakups. In my opinion, these two didn't get each other whatsoever. The breakups always happened when Ari left (typically the country) without waiting for an explanation of the situation (usually some absurd misunderstanding or assumption on her part). It was ridiculous. This is probably one of the most toxic book romances I've ever read. And on top of that there was really only one sex scene - which was when they were 17, so it wasn't hot at all. It seemed awkward. All of the other mentions of sex were in stories relayed to the other characters in the book. By the end of this book, I wasn't even rooting for these two. It was the opposite. I felt these two had no business even being together. I mean really, how many cheating misunderstandings does one couple experience before it's time to call it quits? I can't even imagine what book two will be like. If you're into really toxic relationships and tons of arguing, than this is the book for you. Otherwise avoid this one at all costs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fear isn’t a dirty word. ” Toxic 9 September 2015
By Amy Bosica - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Actual Rating: 4.5 Stars!

“Love is scary and intense and confusing.” “At one time or another, we’re all cowards in the face of something unpredictable and unknown. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Fear isn’t a dirty word.”

Toxic. Captivating. Intoxicating. Angsty. Those are just a few words to describe this book. Hate to Love is one of those stories that you are just going to love to hate ;)

Hate To Love follows the story of Chase and Arianna. Chase and Arianna have been mortal enmities for as long as anyone can remember. That is until one night, everything changed. One night, their hate turns into passion. And you know what they say; sex changes everything. Chase and Arianna develop an intriguing relationship. On the outside, when friends are around, they act like they can’t stand each other. But behind closed doors, their hate is transformed into passion, lust, maybe even love. But, as their relationship continues on, the lies that they tell will turn what they have into something toxic. Things spiral out of control and some actions can’t be taken back…..Fast forward 2 years. Both Chase and Arianna have supposedly moved on. However, they’ve never really been able to let go. When the two of them are forced back together, they no longer have the option of avoiding each other. Will the two of them finally be able to forgive and forget and finally move on??

I have to say, I am completely hooked on this book! I am dying to know what happens next! The way things left off!!!! Ack!!! I am just dying!!

Let me just say, this is my first book by Isabelle Richards and it most certainly will not be my last. This book captivated me from the very beginning. I knew that this book would take me on one heck of a ride and with lines like this: “I can’t forgive her! She eviscerated me! She made me fall in love with her. She took my heart, my soul, and everything that was ever good in me and pissed all over it. That’s not something you just move on from. We were enemies before, and that’s exactly what we should have stayed. If we had, maybe I’d still be whole! You want a villain to blame? Look at her.”, lets just say, it did not disappoint.

Hate to Love You was a fantastic read. The characters were captivating. Their story was intriguing. I was hopelessly lost in the toxic relationship that Chase and Arianna had. I found myself addicted to their story. Yes, they frustrated me to no end. They were both stubborn and wrong; too proud to see the truth that was staring them in the face. And when they weren’t at each other’s throats, their chemistry was off the charts!

This is one of those stories that will have you yelling at your kindle for them to get their acts together! And just when you think things are going into the right direction, a nice little twist is thrown in there. A twist that will leave you screaming for the next book to see how it will all play out! I for one can not wait to get my hands on the next book!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Second chance love at its best! 9 September 2015
By Nikki Storebo - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
***I received an ebook ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review***

Once again, Isabella has crafted a unique storyline with a set of amazing characters.

Chase and Arianna have a rather ... colorful history behind them. Rivals since childhood, the two have been bickering for years, but also managed to hang on to a fiery, passionate relationship, which they kept under wraps for quite a few years. After a rocky breakup, the two are separated for a few years, but are then pushed back together by unforeseen circumstances. The result: more fireworks, and it's hard to tell if they're the good or bad kind.

Second chance romance stories are a favorite of mine, especially when handled with care and written right. Isabelle does a terrific job of reuniting Chase and Arianna after their years apart. What I loved was that she doesn't make it easy for either character. Arianna is strong willed, sassy, and a bit stubborn, and she sticks up for herself and doesn't back down. Chase is full of pride and, quite honestly, he seems like he's afraid to get hurt again. These two do a dance around each other—a dance that's filled with love and passion, and that creates this palpable sexual tension that's present throughout the book.

Isabelle mingles Chase and Arianna's backstory in between snippets of present time. I liked this, because it was like one of them would reference a situation that took place in the past, and then the story would rewind back to that situation, and we'd get a glimpse of exactly what happened and how it contributed to the foundation that stands beneath them.

I liked Chase a lot in this book. He's got some undesirable qualities, such as arrogance and stubbornness to the point of irritation, but those are things he works to keep under control and they offer ways in which he can change to be a better person for Arianna. Under the surface he's this genuinely good guy, and this book is written well enough that I was able to see right away that he loved Arianna, and that his love for her didn't come to an end when their relationship did.

Arianna is equally flawed. She's a control freak, she pushes too hard sometimes, and under the beautiful, seemingly put together exterior, there's some insecurities floating beneath the surface, which rear their ugly heads at the most inopportune times. But she's also capable of great love, of giving herself entirely to someone and of being this amazing rock for the person she loves to lean on. And she's loved Chase for years and isn't going to stop anytime soon.

This story progresses nicely. It moves at a good pace, both in terms of the present day tale and the backstory that we get, and the characters are well-developed. Isabelle has mastered the art of writing a passionate love story, and Hate to Love You is yet another example of this.

This book ends with such a good cliff hanger and man oh man, I can't wait for the next one to come out in October so I know where these two end up!

4.0 out of 5 stars ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR BOOK TWO! 10 September 2015
By Vivian Freeman - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition

This was my first Isabelle Richards book and whilst I’m impressed by the story, many of the themes and it’s premise, the cliffhanger has left me reeling. Hate To Love You is a love story that describes the similarities between hate and love perfectly. Readers will become invested, whilst eagerly waiting to see how it all unfolds.

Richards brings us Chase and Ari. With their lives heavily influenced by sport, they both become professional athletes. It is obvious to anyone that competitiveness runs through their veins. Using competition to fuel their lifestyle an aggression and rivalry embedded so deep becomes the essence of this unexpected relationship.

As Chase and Ari are constantly battling with their antagonistic nature towards one another, it seems their passion and love thrives on it. As their relationship becomes destructive and painful, they break up, leaving life altering scars in the process.

After a two-year no speak no see attitude, Chase and Ari are thrown back into one another’s lives with no option but to be civil. As old feelings resurface we witness a serious battle of head versus heart. Both Ari and Chase are dealing with unplanned obstacles that have them pining for one another.

Richards writes this story in alternate point of views which allows readers to see the differences between the characters train of thought, as well as where their relationship really went wrong. Richards cleverly incorporates the competitive world of sport into this story, letting it highlight and support the importance of it’s presence in the book and to the development of their relationship. Hate To Love You will have you on the edge of your seat, trying to work out all the details and praying for an explosion of emotions, that results in the very highly anticipated reunion of Ari and Chase.
