I live on the Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland with my husband, daughter and cocker spaniel. I like beach walks, baking, travelling and photographing my beach walks, baking and travels for Instagram. So this doesn't sound too much like a dating profile, I also juggle a corporate day job with my writing, eat more than I should, move less than I should and don't get nearly as much sleep as I should. I'm always looking for a happy ending, so that's what I write - happy endings. My novels are inspired by the places I travel to, the food that I eat, the experiences I have and the people I meet along the way.

I enjoyed every moment of this book and was taken by surprise by the rollercoaster of emotion I was taken on by the author. From tears to happiness and everything in between the book has many twists and turns you don't expect. The central character Kate is beautifully formed - flawed and realistic - and easy to relate to. She could be your best friend, your mother, your sister, your Aunt - or even you. With an engaging storyline, it was hard to put down. I'd love a follow up to Kate's story, as I'm sure she has more challenges to face.
This story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions as I fell into Kate's character from the opening scene. A realistic look at love in your mid life and the hurdles that are often thrown at you from those you love. A beautiful story of resistance, letting go, starting again, and finding happiness when you least expect.
If you're looking for a great read to help you forget about the drama of COVID for a few hours, then look no further! I loved this book and was very sad when it ended.
