An absolutely brilliant read .
Sebastian a dynamically good looking single dad who is a terrific father …
Birdie the sweetest very sensible daughter .
Bring together with Sadie, a columnist and also a dog trainer you have the most wonderful read of your life..
The Duke the dog himself …..
I know I was screaming with laughter , so much humour I was crying , do I want to learn German !
So many emotions that I had whilst reading sad , very happy , uncontrollable hysterics with such strong feelings of affection for all these characters ..
An addicting story line where you were drawn into their lives .
As humans we get caught up in our own words and mostly do get caught !
The more I think about the book I can “see” all the beautiful banter …. brilliant words are written ..
As the story unfolds there is so much coincidences its unreal....
I know I was gripping my kindle throughout as I was so intrigued with everything that was happening .
One of my very best reads of 2020.
Ten year old Birdie Maxwell writes a letter to Santa, well she writes to the Holiday Wishes column in the local paper. These sweet letters come across journalist Sadie Bisset’s desk. Sadie feels an instant, complete and unexplainable deep connection with Birdie. These letter have Sadie developing feelings for Birdie prior to meeting, and it also leads to them unexpectedly and eventually meet. And once they meet, it’s obvious they share a strong and undeniable connection. It also seems that Sebastian (Birdie’s father) and Sadie also share a connection, this time it’s an undeniable attraction. While falling in love with Birdie was easy and immediate, falling in love with Sebastian takes longer. The further things develop with all of them the more you feel like they were meant to meet...
My reviews are always passionate and driven by how the story makes me feel. I could never review a book clinically if my life depended on it. Every feeling and emotion goes into trying to convey how much this story meant to me. My words don't do this amazing book justice, so I will say just buy the book. It will seriously make your year. 5 stars.

What an absolute pleasure to be carried away for a few hours into a romance to melt your heart.
Sadie is a romantic at heart and is determined to wait for true love!
Sebastion is a widower, and father to a little girl and the unique way these characters head towards being a family will have you glued to the pages.
Beautifully written, emotional, hot and steamy, sweet, a little bit crazy and a little bit funny.
This book wasn't heavy on angst but it sure dealt Romance in abundance !!! They say never to work with animals and children, but in this case a puppy and little girl almost steal the show!!
I loved being wrapped up in this book, both characters were so easy to identify with and emotions become quickly involved. I loved the unexpected twists, which did leave my heart in a few pieces.
Thankfully for us readers this duo just keep getting better and better !!!
Another Top Shelf read !!!
LOVED IT !!!!
I loved this book so much that i couldn't just buy one copy, I had to buy three because it needed to share it with friends !!!!
The premise behind the story is so clever and witty; it was a very refreshing and different read. The issues that the story touches on were very well done and I will admit to tearing up a time or two while reading.
Birdie stole the show! So adorably innocent and yet wise beyond her time. Her connection with Sadie was a joy to read and the way she handled everything that came her way was awe-inspiring.
I loved Sadie to pieces! She was quirky, self-assured and so loving that you couldn't help but want the very best for her and want to BE her.
My heart went out to Sebastian - he was doing his best but ultimately just falling short at playing mom and dad to Birdie. The inner struggles he had made me well up and want all the very best of everything for him.
Happily Letter After is a beautiful, heartfelt and tender story of family, loss and so much more. My heart ached, I cried, I laughed and I fell in love.
Sadie works for a magazine where she writes articles about dating and when the season comes deals with the letters to Santa. When she receives one in June, she doesn’t know the how much it will change her life ...
Sebastian was a great character who was trying his best in not so great circumstances, which I’m sure we can all relate to.
Birdie and Marmaduke are extraordinarily cute together! There was some hilarious laugh out loud moments. There was also several other awesome side characters who fit in amazingly well.
I’m normally happy to share more details about the book and what stood out to me but I feel like if I expressed this it would ruin it. I do believe you need to go in with no expectations but your own so you can figure out or be surprised by the twists and turns.
As always it was written beautifully, I thought it handled sensitive topics with ease and consideration.
“Our hearts are made up of all different broken pieces that belong to others, and when we find the right one, they show us how they can all fit together again.” Personally, I think this quote sums the book up perfectly.
If you enjoyed this book, I would also recommend Dirty Letters by these authors (which is my favourite book from these authors both individually and alone).
