About the Author
From the Publisher
Lettering is not writing; it's drawing
Pay attention to the shapes your letters created. You can use the 'three-corner' method to emphasize structure and shape in each letter.
The angle in which your letters lie is called an axis line
When a letter is slanted, be sure that the rest of your letters are all along the same line, keeping the slant parallel throughout. Neither upright nor slanted is correct or incorrect. They are simply a stylistic choice.
Adding weight to your letters
One of the easiest ways to move into lettering with brush pens is to get familiar with where to add weight to your letters. Some lines have accompanying lines, while others are left alone.

There are also guides for simple drawings of woodland animals and plants and a whole bunch of suggestions for making art for/with the outdoors or to give something an outdoorsy essence.
I love this book and have used it a bunch.
One thing though, why don't lettering books all come spiral bound?! It's so much easier to use when you can keep it open to the page you need. It'd be lovely if they make this an option at least! :)
