Product Description

The sixth book in the HADRON series. Opportunities are missed and alliances crumble. The enemy must be stopped before making it to Earth. Always put forth your best defense. You're gonna need it. .

Also available from this author:

SODIUM Series

A six-book series that takes Man from his first encounter with aliens all the way to a fight for our all-out survival. Do we have what it takes to rule the galaxy?

AMP Series

Cast a thousand years into the future beyond SODIUM. This eight-book series chronicles the struggles of Don Grange, a simple package deliveryman, who is thrust into an unimaginable role in the fight against our enemies. Can we win peace and freedom after a thousand years of war?

OMEGA Series

Cast a thousand years into the future beyond AMP. The Alliance is crumbling. When corruption and politics threaten to throw the allied galaxies into chaos, Knog Beutcher gets caught in the middle. Follow along as our hero is thrust into roles that he never expected or sought. Espionage, intrigue, political assassinations, rebellions and full-on revolutions, they are all coming to Knog Beutcher's world!

HADRON Series

HADRON is a modern day story unrelated to the SODIUM-AMP-OMEGA trilogy series. After scientists using the Large Hadron Collider discover dark matter, the world is plunged into chaos. Massive waves of electromagnetic interference take out all grid power and forms of communication the world over. Cities go dark, food and water supplies are quickly used up, and marauders rule the highways. One group of citizens takes a stand. Can they make a difference? And the devastating EM waves, where are they coming from? After months of starvation, a benevolent species arrive in their spaceships to rescue the Human race. Only, are they really so benevolent?

ARMS Series

ARMS is set in the future after Earth was nearing an apocalyptic event. Two competing colony ships were built, taking five million inhabitants each through a wormhole to a pair of newly discovered planets. The planets were settled and not long after the colonies looked to the surrounding star systems for ownership and expansion, which led to a centuries long war between them. A truce was declared after the aggressor side began to lose ground.

Tawnish Freely and Harris Gruberg are genetically engineered Biomarines. Their lives have been dedicated to fighting the war. They find themselves struggling to find work among a population that fears them. Work is found only by delving into the delivery of illegal arms to the outer colonies. Things go awry when they discover their illicit dealings may just be the catalyst that brings back the Great War. They are determined to prevent that from happening.

Great read. Action heroism and betrayal. Why does the underhanded politician keep coming out on top? Are people so gullible? Hopefully the world will eventually wake up

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book! 18 September 2016

I got so wrapped up in this series, that I forgot to leave reviews for this book and the two before it. I think my last review was for Incursion, which is book three. I'll need to go back and leave those reviews tonight. I just finished Chaos, and I am still loving this story and the characters. I wonder how Jane and Johnny's adopted children will play a part in the last two books as they begin to grow more. Or Tres and Vanessa's triplets. Something tells me that these children might be what the world needs to bring peace, but we shall see. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Series 29 June 2017

I read the entire eight-novel HADRON series in six days. I couldn't stop reading even when I needed more sleep. Being an engineer with a heavy military and scientific background, I really appreciated Stephen Arseneault's writing. I found it to be very believable and entertaining.
4.0 out of 5 stars You bring a pistol to a war? 5 June 2016

Okay I get the armoured bus. Something you get when your traveling and with lots of money. Johnny can't compete with Jane so he spent his time designing a tank RV. Way cool. But now he's got a galaxy to fight and heavy duty battle suit assist. Then grabs New war tech and he wants to make a big pistol into a "cricket" cause it's a bit fat? Gee, carry two at least. Where's dirty Harry? (Jasper?) Big humans should have big guns! I'm trying to remember if they took the 50 cal? Still in the RV?
In the movie "Hurt Locker" the fighting and bomb hunt made for arm ripping gut wrenching scenes. This was offset with a cooling period where we was shown how troupe deal with the stress. Doc (Jeff) in our galactic war is in tech heaven. So Johnny fooling around with a pistol for a month(?) Didn't seem right. Jane and John lost their home. I wold think they wold want to spend some time in the RV and popping off some regular (human) guns. I mean, didn't they shoot +1000 rounds a week for practice? Getting back to the RV. This is a bit of home. John could surprise Jane (and kids) with a renovated RV and have a picnic! It was disappointing (but realistic) that the RV only got looked at and bogged down on the first real firefight. Yes it's probably stupid to redo the RV for galactic use but hey! "It's Johnny the ape man!"
The HADRON series is a lighter version compared to the SODIUM and AMP series. I hope the author can keep it that way as the little things are what we remember. Especially when no one really wants think about the past.
I'm giving this 4 stars for a good read. I always re-read a series before starting on the newest book. So sometimes it gets a bit tedious on the battle action. Yes, it's a space battle. But I read it for the "What if?" Scenario. Mace is still a bit to trusting. He still "doesn't check the corners" let's hope he gets some help from a wiser mentor. Actually he probably needs a more cynical guy (or gal) like a former spy type. (Scarlett J. maybe?)

The battle for our allies and ultimately the human race begins . With the ever present threats from others and from within with the shadowy Stark all may be lost. Saddle up for a great ride, that keeps the pages turning and keeps you wanting to know what the ultimate outcome will be
