Liam has loved Rosa nearly half his life, but he knows he doesn’t make her happy. The one thing he wants more than anything is to keep her safe. He would never hurt her--she's been hurt enough.
When Rosa and Liam are assigned to the letter H as part of their BDSM club’s new checklist game, a chance to come together instead becomes a reason to drift further apart. With so many items on the list for H, they aren't the only people assigned to the letter. Thinking it will make her happy, Liam allows Rosa to join another Dom’s harem. Pushed to his breaking point by what he sees his lover doing, Liam will decide if their past will stop him from becoming the Master she needs, or if he'll accept the darkness of his own desires.

The cover stands out as less sexy... on purpose because Liam is pretty uptight? Or on purpose because this signals an end to hot covers as the pressure is on by social media to tone things down? I guess we will have to wait until the letter 'I' for the answer...
He loves her painfully... She loves him just as much...but maybe too much time and too many hurts have made this relationship un-salvageable...
So when it comes down to doing something drastic ... what does Liam have to lose?
When it came down to whether this book received three stars, or four stars, or five stars... I stopped and took a breath...set the book aside, and returned to it almost two weeks later. This is an emotional story and for most of us, we've been there...held on to the relationship far too long, trying one thing after another to fix whatever is broken...so this ending could have honestly gone either way...and until the final two pages we really don't have an answer...and that is gut-wrenching when you're the reader pulling for a HEA! The final two pages took this book from being heart-wrenching and emotionally challenging into exceptional read territory...
Each story is a stand-alone and the reader can begin with any letter, but I'd saying reading 'A' first really builds the series world in a way each additional book does, but to a lesser extent. Now, onward to the emotional roadblock that made me stumble...
**SPOILER ALERT and **TRIGGER WARNING:
For me a warning or even a mention in the first few pages that she had lost a baby-not a miscarriage but a stillbirth at 32 weeks-would have been appreciated. Instead the experience comes out 2/3 of the way through the book and seems more of a footnote...this is one reason our relationship is a mess... Why is this important? Knowing the subject is touched on, not a focal point, allows the reader to decide if they are emotionally ready to take on this novel because if the reader has experienced a recent loss and they've picked up this novel in particular to escape, it is an emotional punch in the gut; since 1 in 100 pregnancies in the US end in this tragedy and affects a lot of female readers, it is a consideration. I was blindsided, needed to set the book aside, and return to it after the emotion subsided. That's why I'm adding this as a trigger warning instead of allowing that emotion to reflect on the star rating...
This story deserves a five star rating... because it is well-written, emotionally engaging, and kept my attention. H is for... is a seriously sexy read. I laughed, cried, and hoped all the way to the final two pages... and so it gets Five Stars. I can't wait until the letter 'I.'

Rosalicia and Liam have been together for 17 years, but they are not in a good place (neither separately, nor as a couple). I felt badly for them, because of a variety of misunderstandings and heartbreaks. Due to these misunderstandings, neither wants to make themselves vulnerable by expressing their own needs. They join Las Palmas in an attempt to salvage their love and to reconnect with each other, but even that doesn’t seem to be helping. As members of the club, they are required to play the checklist game. I wasn’t sure if they would be better off continuing to work through their problems, or to break up.
I won’t give away details of the story, but I will say, by the end, that I was glad Rosa and Master Liam were finally getting to the place where they needed to be, sexually. The D/s scenes the author wrote were incredible.
Lila Dubois leaves the books in this series on a cliffhanger to show that every relationship is a work in progress (like real life). I know Master Liam and Rosa/Liam and Rosalicia have a lot of things to work out between them, but there is hope that they are on the track to a brighter, long-lasting future.
At the end of the story, I couldn’t stop crying. The ending is PERFECT!! I loved it!!
I cannot wait for the series to continue!!
