Product Description

Four years ago, Gray rejected Yvie's love before she had a chance to offer it. He thought she was too young and he knew he was too reckless for the relationship to work. Now he's back and he has a plan to woo and win his Christmas angel. But Yvie has plans of her own—and risking her heart again isn't part of them.

A feel-good short story that captures the magic of the season. Happy holidays!

This short story's perfect for a lunchtime read - even when it isn't Christmas, seeing as I read it in January.

Yes, it's sweet, more about the romance than the possible steamy scenes, but it's more about finding love just in time for Christmas and the new start planned for the New Year.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finding Love for the Holidays! 6 February 2015
By Lauren Jones - Published on Amazon.com

This story was wonderful for a short story. Gray and Yvie are the main characters and their romance stems throughout the story from a past accord four years ago. Gray wasn't able to give her a commitment because of his military life and Yvie wasn't able to let it go. As they meet again, she is taken back by the fire that still burns between them.

I really enjoyed reading this story. The author has a fluent writing style that is very descriptive and persuasive. I liked reading about how Gray was so decisive on what he wanted his future to look like so this held my captivation until the end.

I really wanted to continue reading Gray and Yvie's story, but the ending came all too soon. I know that I am a little late with it being past the season, but I do recommend it if you are looking for a nice short romance that sparks imagination and creativity. I give this story a four because while the story was beautiful and exciting, I felt like more could have been explained about their past relationship.

In "Guarding Christmas" Gray has always been like an older brother to Evie up until one fateful night long ago when he saw her for the attractive young woman she was becoming. Instead of talking about it he pushed her away and broke her heart. While working security at the mall for the company her family owns she runs into Gray again. It brings back all the attraction she tried to tuck away and refuses to bring back out. He has thoughts of settling down and she wants to hit the road for adventure. Can and will they work it out or will all be lost?

5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas Romance!! 1 January 2015

Yvie has been burned once by Gray before. Four years ago, a romance ignited but fizzled quickly. Gray had his reasons. But now he's back and Yvie is guarding her heart. However, Gray is persistent and his romantic maneuvers are quickly wearing Yvie down. Will the magic of Christmas bring the two together? Or will an explosive event separate them forever?

Grab a steamy cup of hot chocolate and enjoy this short, sweet holiday romance.
5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous story any time of the year 2 March 2015

I loved this sweet story. It wasn't the usual love at first sight on Christmas day story; the hero and heroine had a history which added layers to the story. It was easy reading, very well written and just what you need for a lazy afternoon on the couch. I have a big to-be-read pile and didn't get to it until February, but it didn't matter - it is a lovely read at any time of the year.
