Nice book, nice story, fun to read and great as a present.
Opening and reading the letters in the book is a fun idea and the story fits. It is fine as the only book. If you like it, the story goes on and develops furthers. Just read the last book of the series. Liked it.
Great book, is all I have to say. For the price, you get an awesome experience - the only downside is the duration. It lasted a day. Its age does not make it hard to read or not - so - great in appearance.
I have all these books and they are truly beautiful, something to treasure forever. They are getting harder to find, so was nice to see them here. Recommend for anyone who enjoys beatiful pictures and letter, and a love story.
I had high expectations for this book as I'd read the reviews and I love books that are a little different. The book itself is a gorgeous item with lovely illustrations and the act of pulling out the letters to read is exciting, almost as if you're the first person to discover a scrapbook full of someone's memories.
What let me down is a few points - most of the pages are just printed; one side the 'front' of the postcard and the other side is the back with the writing on. Only the actual letters are in folded envelopes, so it feels a little like a half-hearted attempt at being different.
It also feels a little thin when you first hold it. It took me a grand total of ten minutes to read (much to the amusement of my partner) and I had to read it again to check I hadn't missed anything (I hadn't). You just start getting into the story, feeling the emotions between Griffin and Sabine, wondering about the mystery of Sabine's history and wanting to know more of Griffin's past and their connection, and suddenly it's over.
The last page is a little too 'Paranormal Activity' for my liking - rather than being a cliffhanger it just amused me.
I recommend this, definitely, but I would suggest that you get your hands on all of the volumes in the series and then start reading. I now have to order the next couple and wait, which doesn't inspire as much excitement as I thought it would.
un livre captivante, un univers magique, un livre 3D a contempler, découvrir, lire, imaginer... Une livre ouvre d'art, tnat les images que l'histoire, racconté travers ses lettres et cartes nous font rêver.
