Lara brings her experience as a professional grief counsellor and, throughout the book, encourages self-love and compassion, important parts of the healing process, and she includes practical tools designed to help achieve this. In a world where grief is often not openly discussed, this is a refreshing guide book to take you through one of the most difficult journeys of you life. I wish Lara's book had been around when I was grieving a dear friend."

Somehow, someway - this book has been written to make you feel better about wherever you are in your stage of grief - all of which have been covered and help you understand more about what you’re going through and gives you hope for the relief that will inevitably come as you become ready.
It also goes beyond all of this and helps you to move forward and feel better about your life and help you know your self worth and encourages self love and acceptance. You may even call it enlightening. It’s brilliantly written and I should add that one of my favorite parts is the poem she wrote to her father.
I say thank you to the author for offering this guidance to those of us who really need help getting through the grief of losing a loved one, which all of us experience sometime in our life.
If you are looking for a way to help yourself or someone else after losing a loved one, this book is for you. It helps you feel like you aren’t alone in this isolating journey, encourages you to face grieving instead of avoiding it and gives some tactical things you can do to help yourself throughout your grieving journey. Love that!
