I'm a newcomer to Keith Miles' work and out of the books with a golfing theme, this is the one I liked the least.
The wife of a prominent businessman/golfer gets kidnapped but there seems to be a lot of golf-talk and not much action rather than concentrating on a tangible storyline about the ways in which Alan (the hero) rescues the woman: it's a bit like a protracted episode of 'Midsomer Murders' where there about 30 characters with different storylines - and the person 'whodunit' being the first person you saw on screen. The other novels are better.
