Mills & Boon novels were Julia James' first "grown up" books she read as a teenager, and she's been reading them ever since. She adores the Mediterranean and the English countryside in all its seasons, and is fascinated by all things historical, from castles to cottages. In between writing she enjoys walking, gardening, needlework and baking "extremely gooey chocolate cakes" and trying to stay fit! Julia lives in England with her family.

This is one of the worst M&B books I have ever read. It was torturously slow in pace, the plot was boringly prescriptive and the characters were barely developed. I definitely do not recommend this book.
I really liked this book. The H is a rich Greek(aren't they all?) & the heroine is an ordinary girl he picks up after her mother has died & introduces her to sex and the world of the super rich. He treats her like crap and she HAS to love this POS to take it. The breakup comes when she accidentally gets pregnant but doesn't tell him because he has strongly voiced his views of a "suitable" marriage in the future where she doesn't figure into. She just takes off & disappears & the H goes on his merry way. Several years later, he gets the shock of his like at the funeral of his favorite uncle. Read the book to find out what happens next.
Ok read, too long to get to the plot. Very boring and dull characters. This author doesn't develop her characters or plot. Will not read any more of her books. No heat.
The story was boring. While the author tried to make you believe the main characters had both grown and developed in 5 years their actions don't reflect this. The story also dragged on and on. This was a read that I had to make myself finish. Depth was lacking n everyway.
