Works on those mysterious oil stains!

I already had tried the bottled solution from Grandma's Secret and it worked great for all kinds of stains. I was even able to get red wine out of a white cotton polo. But for this review I am going to recount my laundry day last weekend when I tried this spray on the strange circles or scattered dots that always appear after laundering my husband's shirts. I don't know what it's from, but I read online that they are usually from food oils. I think he's getting olive oil on his shirts when he cooks at the stove. Anyway, after a disastrous attempt at applying WD-40, baking soda, and dish soap, which I read about online, I was about to give up. The shirts had stains from the WD-40 after it spread out the oil stains, and they smelled like it even after 4 wash cycles. I tried this spray on the dried shirts, and after letting them sit for a few hours and putting them through one more cycle, ALL THE STAINS WERE GONE! And so was the smell left behind from my failed attempt with the WD-40! I'm stocking up because more of these stains will surely appear!

I didn’t know this one existed. Glad I found it. Don’t hesitate to buy it just because I gave it 4 stars. It gets 4 rather than 5 stars because the original Grandma’s Secret spot remover (very small bottle that will take out any stain on the planet) is of such high quality. If I didn’t have the history with the original, this one would have received 5 stars. See what a risk it is for a company to have developed and distributed the very very best then developed something related that’s not quite it’s equal?

The spray, being a somewhat diluted version of the original, doesn’t take out EVERYTHING, but if I need that, I use the little bottle of concentrated stuff. The spray bottle works for nearly everything and is waaaaay easier for me to use than the little bottle, which is hard for old arthritic hands to squeeze. (I actually have to use pliers on the little bottle sometimes but that’s just how it is when you get as old as dirt.)

Don't be fooled into thinking that this is the same formula as the Grandma's in the small bottles...it's not. Does NOT remove any stains as far as I can tell. I swear by & highly recommend Grandma's in the squeeze bottle ..its an awesome stain remover. Spray bottle Grandma's has a very strong citrus smell like orange cleaners. Please don't waste your time or $ on the spray version of this product.

I started using Grandma's Secret liquid in tiny bottles a few years ago and like it so much that I gave some to friends, too. Although no directions accompany it, applying the liquid promptly to spots or stains and leaving overnight before washing works amazingly well! No nasty perfumes, and it works better than any stain remover I've ever used. It doesn't get out EVERYTHING, but most things. (Old blood stains still on't come out, but fresh ones do.) The spray is easier to use and covers a larger area better than the tiny bottles, but the bottles are good for travel and small spots, too. I haven't purchased another stain remover since discovering Grandma's Secret.

I have a car that came from the factory with light gray cloth upholstery that for some reason easily stained. There was even a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on how to clean it (you needed a steamer or some such nonsense) as many owners complained about it. Stains would not come out no matter what I used or did. I would scrub and scrub and apply top rated upholstery cleaners but nothing worked. Finally, I just gave up.

Fast forward after many years I wanted to clean up this car (my wife's) so my daughter could start driving it. The wife has since moved on to a brand new car to trash <sad>. I saw this cleaner and decided to gave it a shot. To my surprise, this stuff WORKED. For some of the tougher stains like coffee and chocolate, I had to repeat the process a couple of times but I now have some pretty new looking car seats. With each application, the tougher stains gets lighter and lighter. I have no doubt that the seats will be made stain free by the time I'm finished.

This also worked on my other car with BLACK cloth upholstery. I was able to remove some light colored stains that would not come out. I'm not sure what the stain was (nothing gross). I think it may have been rain water, beverage or sweat stains i can't remember. The stain would always bleed back out from the cushion after the upholstery dried. After using this, my seats look new again. This stuff seems very safe for a wide range of fabrics and won't bleach out colors at least not auto upholstery.

I have some berber carpet that for years we said we would replace with hardwood flooring so we never took care of it. Years later, no hardwood floors so It has some pretty bad high foot traffic stains that I'm pretty sure this will make short work of. Stay tuned for the outcome.
