Product description

Product Description

The Grand Deception is a culmination of thoughts, arguments, and criticisms against the various religions around the world. While seeking to find the true fallacies and errant concepts in each religion, we focus more on Christianity and modern religions as to why people believe what they do, and what drives their actions to such extremism.

With ingrained quotes and subtle arguments, this book will make you question your beliefs or seemingly reinforce what you have already found to be true about the world. Religion is one of the most potent forces the world has ever known, and continues to be a destructive force to humanity for those that adhere to its principles. While religion and theology are alive, the world can never truly know peace without settling their ideological differences.

"Religion is the acceptance of alternative beliefs, and it attempts to alter our mindset by replacing reason with faith, morals for doctrinal teachings, logical mentality with coercive dogma, and independence for reliance." -Quote from The Grand Deception

Embracing a theology means to discard and reject all others as false and invalid, while denouncing their followers and unbelievers and infidels. This is simply one means of religion's methods for alienation.

"Religion preys on fear –the fear of death and of the unknown. Nobody knows where we go when we die, but religion seemingly offers some subtle comfort in the meantime. I would argue that this revelation of the afterlife is harmful and reckless, since it deterministically depreciates the concept and value of this current life." -Quote from the Grand Deception

The Bible is ultimately a subjective timepiece, which most likely can and does not hold true today. Many of its writings are outdated, antiquated, and subjective to the old times and laws. If Jesus never spoke against homosexuality, why do so many reject it so strongly today? Are women placed in a lower role because of the Bible? Did a global flood ever happen? How can we believe the creation story?

The Grand Deception seeks to answer many of these questions, along with many others from a standpoint of pure reason. Logic takes a backseat when emotion pervades the mind, which is exactly what religion seeks to bind to when entering the mind of a new believer. We are all born as atheists, but somewhere along the way we become disillusioned and indoctrinated in a belief without evidence and based purely on faith.

This book is not meant as a piece to de-convert or rob one of their faith or religion. It is simply an appeal to reason, and an argument for skepticism. If you are not questioning the existence of a god by the time you finish reading, then I have not properly done my job with this book. I simply put into words the very questions you may have asked yourself, or been asked by others who question the concept of God.

Although these writings were attemptably ascribed from a theistically friendly perspective, many might perceive them as hostile. I promise that this was not my intention, but instead my purpose was to instill a form of reason within each that reads it, so that they may take away from it questioning everything they have been told.
